The Pickled Pelican pub, close to Stamford Bridge, becomes rammed on match days and often adopts a regular’s only policy. It tends to be frequented by the older less rowdy elements of the Chelsea supporters however. Even when very busy the bar staff are very efficient and you spend longer getting back across the room than you do at the bar.
On days when there is no match on, the place is pretty civilised and feels less like a boozer and more like a (3 star) hotel bar.

I went to The Pickled Pelican for a fellow workers leaving party. Hadn't been here before and was impressed with the low key atmosphere and young clientele. A lot of attractive young girls, made me feel like an old man!! The music at the Pickled Pelican was a bit more than background sound - in fact it was really loud by the time we left. All in all we had a good night.
