The ViewLondon Review
Footsteps away from Notting Hill Gate, the Prince Albert pub is a local love for many punters. The VenueDark green walls and wooden floors make up the shell of The Prince Albert mixed with lamp lighting that is exactly right and sets the mood perfectly. An island-bar is the pub’s centrepiece whilst a just-the-right-size beer garden almost makes you feel like you are in someone’s backyard.
The AtmosphereThe Prince Albert is sprinkled with a bespoke Notting Hill flavour which is apparent in both the decor and the clientele. With easy going vibes and free flowing drinks The Prince Albert is filled with people looking to chill out, whilst watching the world go by.
The FoodThe foods is standard pub fare at standard pub prices. There’s a great selection of bites to share, from wedges to prawns to breads with cheese, olives and oils. The burgers are filling however they could do with some greens to freshen them up a little. Other options include bangers and mash, chicken salad, fishcakes and steak, costing around £7.50.
The DrinkThe Prince Albert has a fairly extensive wine list for a pub. With about 35 reds, whites, roses and champagnes coming from all the usual suspect countries and bottles start at around £10. Beers on tap include Staropramen, Amstel, Budvar, Hoegaarden and Leffe.
The Last WordDown to earth and laid back, The Prince Albert is a good option if you fancy dropping by for a relaxed drink or a lazy meal if you are in the area.
