I just think this pub is completely ordinary. The staff are nothing to write home about and can be very rude if the bar starts to get busy. As a former pub manager I understand that things can get a bit heated behind the bar when everyone is rushing around but in the Prince Albert it is just ridiculous. If there are more than 3 people at the bar expect no manners (or for that matter even a smile!) at the Prince Albert. It's a shame as it used to be one of my favourite pubs.

I have been to The Prince Albert twice, with terrible service both times. The last time I went, my purse was stolen from right under our noses, and the staff didn't even seem to care. I was understandably upset and they had the gall to yell at us for disturbing the other customers and asked us to leave.

The staff haven't put up warning signs as many pubs do, nor have they put clips under the tables so you can keep your stuff close to you easily. I think I was doing the other customers a favour by letting them know what had happened and getting upset about it so that they could be warned. I will never go back to The Prince Albert.

Oh, and the food is not a very good value for the money.

As a semi-regular at The Prince Albert, I took my cousin (who was visiting from Italy) for a late Saturday lunch this past weekend. Lunch was fine, the drinks were good as was the atmosphere. But I was not very happy at the Barman’s unhelpful attitude towards the incident that occurred with my cousin’s bag.

I appreciate that it was clearly not his fault nor that of the venue per se, but when you've just spent £90 on lunch and drinks in a somebody's business, you expect a bit more than help than was given. They wouldn’t take my phone number and they were really very rude.

The Prince Albert is a good pub, but this sort of attitude leaves a very bad taste in the mouth, and it will take a long time before I can walk back into the place. I'm a pretty laid back type of individual, but the bloke behind the bar was categorically the rudest individual I have spoken to in several years.

The Prince Albert is great. One of my fav spots after the market. Great music, cool staff and a lovely beer garden
