This place is vile, dirty, disgusting and rude. I complained about the state of the ladies loo (no paper, soap, seat on the floor and I don't want to know what on the seat.) The manager told me, "Women are just like that." Imagine what the kitchen looks like!!!!!

The Princess is a really nice pub and they have very helpful and actually stunningly attractive staff. The atmosphere is more pub-esque than most of the ones in the area, and it is a good place for a quiet drink.

The Princess restaurant serves excellent food and I cannot recommend the Citrus Roast Kid enough. The staff in the restaurant are very attentive especially the restaurant manager who is one of the most friendly people I have met.

The Princess is bad, bad, bad - first off, the pub reaked of urine. We went upstairs and ordered and, after making sure the kid on the menu was indeed kid and not lamb, I decided to go for that option, since I really like it. The waitress (very nice) assured me it was kid. Bring it on.
It wasn't. It was lamb. I could tell the difference immediately at the first bite. I got up, told the waitress, who asks me if I want to order something else. I did.

Two minutes later, the restaurant manager comes out and tells me that this is kid. I contrapose, it's not. She mumbles about getting the head chef and comes back with a decided grin on her face, no change, I could have that or that. I lost it but because I was with friends on a hen night I told her to just bring it - I hate lamb with a vengeance. I didn't have anything else and will never return.

I'm glad we don't get managers like that in my neck of the woods though clearly they didn't care at The Princess, as it is, they just lost a customer or two.

Another gastro pub. I heard everyone sigh when The Princess opened and I went there with very low expectations. However, I was more than pleasantly surprised. The menu was very impressive with some very exotic offerings, I had seared scallops on broad bean puree which were some of the best I’ve ever had.

The decor at The Princess is also very impressive if not a little surprising in its style and panache.
