The ViewLondon Review
The less said about The Ravencourt Arms, the better. It’s pretty uninteresting with nothing much to distinguish it apart from the rest. With so many other options in Hammersmith, it’s not a choice that leaps to mind when planning where to go for a bevvie.
The Venue
The Ravencourt Arms is made up of a small, uninteresting room under a Premier Travel Inn. There is a pool table, a jukebox and a courtyard - and not much else.
The Atmosphere
The bar staff here are nice and the clientele is made up of bingo ladies and the men who court them. It seems to be entirely populated by locals, with a rather cliquey feel, which can be offputting if you’re not part of the group. A less than appealing soundtrack plays in the background of 'old classics' – and not the good ones.
The Drink
The only slightly interesting brew on offer at The Ravencourt Arms is Murphy's. The wine choice is limited and there are just the basic spirits. The bonus is, it’s cheap.
The Last Word
King Street has a plethora of decent pubs and bars so it’s hard to conjure up a reason to recommend The Ravencourt Arms. Cheap prices are it’s only real saving grace.
