It has such potential with its location, venue and generous alcohol offerings, but is let down by miserable waiters and bland, dry and over cooked food. Avoid the burger unless you like eating dry weetabix for bread, over salted chips and a burnt burger. There was hardly any other customers on the Sunday lunch when we visited and that tells volumes. Improve the food and customers will return.

This is a nice bar, prices are not excessive, they just reflect the location of the place, which incidentally is no where near where the venue map suggests it is, take the postcode and put it into Google to get a proper idea.

Anyway, the staff are nice and the atmosphere chilled - perfect for drinks with colleagues and friends after a busy day at work.

Not far to stumble to get on the train home either!!!!!

Cheers.CJW

As an ex-resident of St Greorge Wharf i have enjoyed many a lovely evening at The Riverside enjoying some good food and exceptional service. i recently returned, however, to find a McDonalds quality menu and service to match. One of the best thinks about the Riverside was it's home form home feel with very friendly staff. Now theres some frumpy robots walking round. The place has lost it's sole!! Please tell me where the staff have gone so that i can go there!!

The Riverside is fantastic. Fantastic and friendly staff who do their utmost to please. Great fresh food. What more can you ask for? Is great in summer with its massive heated outside area.

I haven't been for a while but enjoyed a great visit to The Riverside last week. This place is a classic example of why you shouldn't visit a place when it first opens. The service on our last visit was a joy to behold - friendly, quick and informed. The food was fantastic.

Perfectly cooked lamb on pearl barley risotto, a beautifully presented vegetarian dish of spiced ratatouille terrine and two of the best desserts we've had in a long time. Well done The Riverside.

The Riverside has good food and fantastic service. The place has come along way since it first opened. The new manager has done a great job of recruiting some of the best staff in London. Keep up the good work The Riverside!

The Riverside is a lovely bar, the staff are helpful and bend over backwards to make sure our evening is enjoyable!

As for the prices, what can I say - its central London guys, what do you expect! You are practically in the water, you have views of the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. The food at The Riverside is great, but can be slow but just keep asking so they know you are still waiting! I love this place, so will most of you!

As another fellow St George resident The Riverside is good for location, but terrible for my bank account! The quality of The Riverside bar staff has improved since the original manager left. I'm told they are now allowed to talk and banter with the customers. It makes for some fun evenings.

The Riverside has a decent location next to the bridge in an area with very little else (apart from a fairly vulgar apartment complex). Always nice to sit by the river also, and very nice seating they have at The Riverside too. But the prices! £4 for a glass of lemonade and £25+ for a jug of Pimms? Priced to keep the riffraff away from the penthouse owners methinks.

The Riverside is in a lovely location, but has appaling service and prices. We paid £7.00 each for a bowl of gem lettuce leaves, one anchovy, and some crumbs of cheese laughably called a ceasar salad. £18.00 for two small bowls of salad and two halves of lager?

We asked the price of a jug of Pimms - £25.70! The Riverside is the worst type of London exploitation. Someone should be ashamed, but I expect they're too busy counting the takings.

My overall impressions of The Riverside are highly positive. The service is friendly, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is fantastic. There are not many places in central London where you can go and sit by the river on a hot evening and enjoy a quiet pint.

Having been there before a number of times I would reccomend that if you do choose to sit outside you do not reley on the table service for drinks as this can take a long time. Inside its fine, but they do seem to forget they have customers outside. I would highly recommend The Riverside, it is worth a visit.

The Riverside is brilliant – just what Vauxhall needs. There’s been a dearth of good new pubs and bars in the area for ages and this falls somewhere in the middle. THe Riverside has all the warmth of a pub but the classy interior of a bar.

I thought the food is fab – I had a veal burger with fois gras! – and it’s the sort of place you could stay all day. Best of all, it’s in my doorstep as I live in St George Wharf. Going to spend many a Sunday there in this fab weather…

It took more than 10 minutes to be given the pleasure of paying £3.00 for a pint of Fosters at The Riverside. The Riverside has bad service and bad prices.

Living in St George Wharf, I was worried about the potential noise from The Riverside but was also looking forward to have a local, to have a beer, maybe an occasional dinner. Happy to say there is no noise.

Sad to say The Riverside is crap, prices high, food is pretentiously boring, waste of time.

The Riverside is fab for lazy Sundays - perfect in this lovely weather. I could stay at The Riverside all day, and it wouldn't hurt my bank balance too much either. I expected it to be a Wetherspoons kind of place, but it feels more old pub style than that.
