Finsbury Park is slowly seeing a fresh crop of cool bars, shops, restaurants and venues. From the Fallback to the T-bird to Venzia's delicious pizzas, the area is bit by bit becoming the place to be when tired of the predictability of nearby hot spots Dalston and Camden.

To me, once pop up venue now here to stay, The Silver Bullet is still steaming ahead of all the areas competition. They have excellent drinks prices, especially if you get down early. They are ahead of their game with live music and DJ bookings. They have a deal with the aforementioned insanely delicious Venezia Pizza, so you can nibble on a gourmet pizza having built up an appetite with all the dancing...

There's simply too much to mention - from cool swing classes, through open mics. From Jazz Jams to student friendly club nights with unmatched drinks deals. Add to that the friendly staff and frankly quite brilliant sound system and you have a recipe for a winner.

My favourite local venue.

Cracking live music venue, small enough to create an intimate atmosphere but plenty of space to get your groove on. Lovely bar staff who really seemed to know their stuff about the music. Very handy for local transport.

Have been going to the Tuesday jazz nights at The Silver Bullet for a while now - great atmosphere for lots of creative performing! One day I may be brave enough to venture to one of the weekend late night events which have been recommended to me, but for now, I'll stick to this - a brilliant night out!

Awesome night out in the Silver Bullet earlier this week. Great bands, super friendly staff, and a fantastic atmosphere - and only 5 seconds walk (drunken stagger) to the bus stop/tube station to get home to - could you get any more perfect in North London? I don't think so!
