very bad service
when as a customer i asked to change the order one minute after i ordered it
i was told this not possible i said that's stupid then i got aggressive attitude of the dirty looking bar man who was smoking outside the front of the bar he barely spoke a word of English and said i would have to wait 20 minutes for the manager i said well stop the order he said i can not do
when the manager finally arrived he had to control this man from being rude
but still did manage to grasp the fact i wanted to change my order
a very simple solution change it i ended up just walking out having paid food i did not receive

I attended the slug and lettuce bar and found it to be a great experience. The staff were very welcoming on entry and the service seemed geniune and enthusiastic.

We took a seat after being asked by the waiter who then took our order in a laid back friendly manner.

The drinks were reasonably priced with a fantasic range of beers, wines and spirits with a good cocktail deal on from 5pm to 8pm.

The food was served promptly and tasted great - a Sicilian Style Chicken and an Ultimate Burger. The Desserts were great too - buy one and get one free - delicious

The Slug and Lettuce is such an apt name for the food that they serve here, as it was sluggish in food expectations. We ordered a shared platter called 'duck pancakes'- a chinese dish usually served with shallots & cucumber slices. The waitress plonked the platter abruptly on the table and casually announced that they ran out of plum sauce and BBQ sauce is the replacement. If I was a slug or a piece of lettuce with no tastbuds and human senses, I wouldn't have minded. I am of oriental background and having BBQ sauce on my duck pancake was borderline offensive. What bothered me most is the assumption that BBQ sauce would be acceptable and we weren't told prior to the food coming out. What next marmite?!Hmmm, we are in the century of 'fusion' eating after all...perhaps I should be open minded..whatever! The 'wasabi vegetables' were over cooked in brown unsavoury oil, which I believe can be recycled for fuel, defintely not for eating....unless you're a slug of course! This place is good for a drink, but DON'T eat there!
