Standard Menu, Standard lager / ale selection, decent price, occasionaly run a 2 for 1 on meals, normally some deal is on (we got a glass of wine for £1 with our salad today) Nothing fancy, but no gripes. Worth getting a window seat so you can watch the foot traffic on upper street walking past.

Rude & argumentative staff.
Been to this pub before & never had any complaints. This time I ordred food, after 40 mins I queried and was advised it was on its way. When the food came, it was NOT what I had ordered, I was told I had been sent something different as they'd run out. When I said I didn't want it, the girl tutted at me & walked off, the manager then came over and proceeded to argue with me. I ended up asking for my money back & eating elsewhere.

The Steam Passage is one of the many chain pubs on Upper Street. It hasn't got much atmosphere but the barmaids are quite fit. They don't sell any real beer at The Steam Passage, but the lager is OK. No different to any other pubs in the area.
