The ViewLondon Review
Set on the main road, The Trinity Pub is surprisingly peaceful and modern behind its classic Tudor exterior.
The Venue
Ideally situated within a short walking distance of Borough Tube, the interior of this Tudor style venue has been decorated with a contemporary yet sympathetic vibe.
The ceilings, walls and wood panels have been painted cream to brighten the venue and accent the deep wooden bar and rustic wooden floorboards. Ceiling lights with assorted shades also help to add light to the otherwise dark venue resulting in a softly lit, romantic ambience. The eclectic collection of furniture at The Trinity Pub ranges from mismatched tables and chairs, showcasing a variety of different woods and vintage styles, to contemporary steel bar stools finished in vibrant red leather and matched to tall metal fountain-style tables.
The Atmosphere
The Trinity Pub is a modern pub for modern people; its relaxed vibe and contemporary feel ensure it's a popular choice with the increasing numbers of trendy locals taking residence in Borough. Rarely empty, its location amongst the corporate conurbation also means that it sees custom from the local blooming office trade too.
The Food
Offering fresh food sourced locally, the diverse menu at The Trinity Pub offers traditional British cuisine alongside more exotic choices. A popular dish is the bangers and mash with its weekly changing sausage variety and accompaniment of tasty parsnip chips. There is, of course, the regular pub fare of burgers, jackets and sandwiches, all generously served and well priced, with interesting variations such as The Trinity club sandwich with chicken, bacon and guacamole.
The Drink
Offering a change from the norm, the drink menu at The Trinity Pub is refreshingly different. Lagers are represented by Amstel, Budvar and Staeropramen with the less common Leffe Blond on offer, whilst Moorlands and Abbots represent the ales with the unusual Stowford Press as the cider option. There is a good wine list with a selection of world wines, and the usual selection of spirits can be ordered straight or imaginatively styled into a cocktail.
The Last Word
In keeping with the trendy revolution, The Trinity Pub is a welcome addition to Borough.
