Last week we went to The Volunteer late afternoon for a drink. I had my first Pimms here which was just awesome. Its a nice, lively place with cheerful staff. Coloured candles lit in the evening add to the ambience. Some more cushions on the chairs n settees would be welcome. 'love to visit this place again!

This place has just been done up and it looks amazing. The toilets are beautiful now and the new look has given it such a lift. The food was really good and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. This is my favourite pub in London by a long shot.

The Volunteer is a great place. In fact me and the rest of Team Extreme go there nearly every day! The food at The Volunteer is awesome (try the fish finger buttie for something different).

There is a wide range of beers and an even wider range of attractive female bar staff. Keep up the good work girls!

I would highly recommend The Volunteer. Not only is it a warm, comfy place to sink a few ales. Everyone there (staff and punters) seem relaxed and friendly and you can't say that about a lot of pubs around the centre of London. The only disappointing thing about The Volunteer is the level of the music played there - a bit too loud for me or my friends liking but then we are getting old!
