What a great find! Have been drinking in Farringdon and Clerkenwell for ages, and stumbled upon this place a month or two ago. Chatting to the staff, they've recently had a revamp with new beers on tap and a new menu and new chef. Can't say I know what it was like before but they place is now brilliant. Highly recommended. Best Cheese Burger I've had from a pub anywhere in London.

Run by avid Arsenal fans who have been known to collectively sport the haircuts of certain players-of-the-moment, The White Bear is where Farringdon office workers go for a good cheap steak, a lunchtime lager and some simple, no-nonsense good humour and cheer. The White Bear is a very basic boozer that is dead quiet in the weekends, but pay it a visit during the week and you'll be in for a cracking time.
