They've got a lot off great beers and wonderful location.
The white horse pub could be a lot better...
The manager doesn't care about quality at all.
The staff is rude naturally cause they are overworked and underpaid.
The management treats them badly and that's the main reason why new untrained staff comes in and out weekly.
My favorite sloany pony moment was when I met a guy(while working there) who used to work there.
Like me, he loved the pub, but hated working there, was fun talking to him.
terrible.
i have never received such lacklustre service.
absolutely no atmosphere.
food when it eventually turned up was no better than a tesco microwaved meal.
manager had no grasp of customer service, only positive was that i never have to go back here again.
i believe this pub has the nickname, "the Sloany Pony".
Just "Pony" will do
One of my regular pubs has been ruined by the rude unpleasant bar staff. The place is not cheap, but it has a decent position by Parsons Green.
Having visited the pub last Saturday with a group of friends, the attitude and manners of the staff (in particular a short moody Hispanic woman) has ensured I will never go again.
There are plenty of other good pubs in the area, and given the overpriced drinks and awful attitude of the staff, I would strongly recommend that you consider one of the alternatives.
Entertaining guests here is a serious mistake. The above mentioned moody bar-lady got the order wrong, then criticised members of my party for her mistakes, and was rude to them once she was corrected.
She then proceeded to overcharge for the already overpriced drinks and then had serious problems when she realised she had been caught out and tried not to serve us at all to try and cover up her dishonesty and rude manner.
Avoid this place if you don't want to be ripped off and insulted by awful staff.
I went to this place on a Thursday evening. They were doing burgers on a barbecue outside. We had to wait an eternity to get the meal which was ok. I think they should employ more staff as when they get busy they cant deal with the orders. It is unbeliavable they only have two people working out there. They don´t treat staff properly, just one person works double so they don´t need to hire anybody else. That is called "exploitation" and shouldn´t be allow these days.
Another day my friend and me witnessed the rude way managers talk to the staff. It´s amazing what poor workers have to put up with.
I would NOT recommend this place at all. Food is important but there are plenty of places to go in London so I´m not to support a place where "dignity and respect to staff" doesn´t mean anything at all!
A fine pub indeed. Great atmosphere, always busy and the staff are friendly! will be frequenting much more often!
Went for lunch on a Wednesday, a working day for most people, so speed is always appreciated.
Sadly the staff at the pub don't seem to understand this, it took them 30 minutes to bring our lunch!
And the place was no where near full, I don't even want to think what it'd be like on a busy day...!
My boyfriend ordered fish and chips and that was nice enough.
Sadly I wasn't that lucky, I ordered the chicken breast wrapped in pancetta and I only got half of the breast and it came in a bowl, which was very necessary as the chicken was drowning in an inch of onion soup.
So a very disappointing experience. We won't be rushing back!
Well, too many Sloanes there during the week-end, that's a fact? but then I don't care that much anymore...
The food is very good. Had the Fish & Chips once, the smoked mackerel for brunch on a sunday morning.
Recently the Sticky toffee pudding, I would die for(!) AND most recently the BREAD and BUTTER pudding, OMG !!!!!!
Everybidy should try it at least once. Being a French frog, I can tell you, I wthis changed my mind long time ago about british food!
Obviously, the below star rating is incorrect...meant to give it ZERO rating!!
Absolutely apauling service!! waited 25 minutes at the bar to even get noticed . Attitutude from the "so called manager" when I complained Eight batrenders but yet not one could serve us!! Walked out extremely unhappy with this place and will NOT recommend it.
I live in the area and third time in a row is unacceptable!! Ditch this place and go nect door to the Establishment where you will bw well taken care of.

I visited the White Horse on a Thursday night in July. The weather was glorious. The sun was shining and I was looking forward to some food and a few pints with my brother in-law, Harry. I ordered the bangers and mash. A safe bet and had a pint of Tsingtao beer. Well, the beer disagreed with me and I hurried quickly to the toilet only to find that someone had smeared human faeses all over the walls and sink. Fortunately the ladies toilet was empty (with the exception of three woman, two of which were blind) so I was able to avoid the potential disaster that faced me. I mentioned the state of the toilet to the bartender but he didn't seem all that bothered. My suspicions were that it was he that had made the mess. I then sat down to my dinner. Three nice sausages on some mash. I was well into my third when I noticed something strange about the texture -- the menu said nothing about nuts? It was then I realised that these were not sausages but, yes you guessed it, chocolate dukes. Knowing this ruined the rest of the mash. Apart from these two minor "situations" I thoroughly enjoyed my night -- the chocolate date pudding I had for dessert was gorgeous, I adored it. I also enjoyed a few more pints with Harry who finally confessed to being culprit who "decorated" the mens toilet. Parking was ample. Four thumbs up.
Lovely pub with friendly staff and a pleasant beer garden - a bit of escapism in London as you could almost be in a country pub with the green next to it.
I went last week and had yummy fish for lunch which was cooked to perfection, there is a wide selection of drinks too. Highly recommended, and I haven't seen many Sloanes when I've been there either - although I must admit I haven't been on a Friday or Saturday night!
The White horse is a lovely pub in Flhammm ruined by the locals. Shame on you Sebastian and Trinny!
The White Horse has good beers, good food, and the staff are friendly. It also has a nice atmosphere if you don't mind the sloanes.
I have always liked having a beer at the White Horse but on our last visit my partner found a chicken toe on her steak. Then the manager tried to convince me that this was normal and just the gravy hadn't been drained properly.
Needless to say our appetite was spoilt and I will not eat anything that comes out of The White Horse kitchen again.
Good food, good prices and good location. What more is there to say about The White Horse? It's a top restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere and very nice staff. The White Horse does it for me.
The White Horse on Parsons Green is a fantastic treasure chest. You never know who you will see on a week day lunch. As it's so near to a famous photography studio you can end up seeing stars such as Will Young and Westlife. This is not the place if you are thinking about purchasing a Bacardi Breezer but the food at The White Horse on Parsons Green is fantastic and they have some luscious bar men. Two happy thumbs up!
Two happy thumbs up!
The White horse is the Jekyll and Hyde of pubs. During the week this pub is fantastic. The food is great and the atmosphere is like any country pub.
Come the weekend, Hackett wearing pratts called Tarquin and their pearl-clad girlfriends called Veronica move in and turn the place into a hell hole. I for one will never go there again at the weekend.
