Firstly, its not a 3 floor place like advertised. I was there on a friday night and only the ground floor was open. Being located in a place like Clapham, its not worth paying to enter this place.

I was there during the offer period(buy one get one free till midnight) which I did not know about; the bartender who served us did not bother to even tell us this. Hence, I ended up paying full price for my drinks. When I mentioned this to the bar tender, she said it was my fault! Absolutely useless. Only bright side is good music.

I suggest going to one of the many other places Clapham has to offer!

We went to The White House on Saturday night for my friends birthday. to was our first time there and will be our last!

The website advertises The White house as having 2 floors, one playing house music and the other a mixture of 80's, rock and Indie. The first floor is actually 'the members lounge' so dancing is a no-no. We also were told by the bar staff that the first floor wasn't open, but then after making a complaint to the manager, we finally were directed to the first floor members lounge. To find the first floor members lounge, you have to know The White House layout as it is not signposted and the staff are rude and unhelpful. You get there by going through a door marked 'private' and then you continue on to walk through pitch black corridors until you eventually get there! After a few drinks, this corridor is a hazard and one of my friends did have a small fall...not that the staff cared!

Its a real shame about this place as it is a nice venue...if you enjoy house music. It is very falsely advertised on its website and someone really needs to address the unhelpfulness of the staff!

We'll stick to Bar Rumba in Piccadilly from now on! Amazing venue!

I came down on Saturday evening and had a wonderful time with my friends celebrating a birthday party. The music was totally awesome and there was a great vibe and atmosphere all night long.

I have been a visitor of the White House for over five years and I love this club and my friends and I have attended some of the best nights there ever and to this day this club still stands as one of my favourite venues to go on a night out clubbing.

I would also like to mention the service and staff at The White House who have always been friendly and that makes a big difference when coming to a club.

It really wasn't the best night-out I have ever had. The £10 unlimited cocktails deal was appealing. However, it took them half an hour (at least) to make two cocktails; and they weren't even good! The bartenders were not professional with their service and they gave us the wrong drinks. All the staff had an attitude towards customers.

There was one female staff, who would just stood there; not serving drinks nor helping her colleagues - one of the oddest things I have ever seen.

Drinks were not up to standard, terrible and slow service and rude staff. I wouldn't recommend anyone setting foot in that pub/bar.

Also, it was Friday night I went there. The venue was dead. NO ONE WAS THERE for a reason.

I just have to say that after I've read the first review about how terrible the doorman is and how rude he was to the gentleman, I would still give it a shot. But the nerve of that doorman posting a bunch of fake reviews completely repudiates me from giving this place a chance in hell. I mean who, when writing a review, remembers how "intimidating but necessary" the doorman was? You either have a complaint or you don't remember the doorman. In addition, I wouldn't be caught dead spending a night in a place that would make me think about the frickin doorman all night lol

Decent enough place, nice atmosphere and good music.
Although the doormen are quite possibly the rudest I have ever come across! Completely sexist and disrespectful! Spoilt the evening before we'd even got inside!

I'm not really sure about this place. We went there for a house music night. After paying £10 we couldnt work out where the dance floor was, then we realised everyone was standing around on it and it was pretty small. As a bar it is a nice place to meet and have a drink. They had a good range of cocktails that were pretty lethal and I liked the roof terrace and the secret 'VIP' room that we snuck into later on it the night-not sure if it is VIP actually..The cocktails had worked their magic..
Maybe we went on the wrong night but it felt a bit too small a venue to pay £10 to get in. Maybe we missed out a whole room and there was a secret area where people were dancing?

Nope there is not secret room! I agree, the venue is too small for the highly overpriced entry fee! And the VIP area is actually the members lounge advertised as the first floor dance area!

Had a great night at the white house... music was good, set the mood amazingly. in regards to the overpriced drinks, it reflected the level of clientele (in comparison to infernos) so we were all happy to pay a little extra, also the cocktail list is great....creative and delicious.Door staffs were friendly, which is very rare these days.

I hate walking into a club in a bad mood because of the rude door staff, but here it certainly not the case. They are all up for a bit of banter. In short, we had an all round great night. Looking forward to going back.p.s.If I had to say one bad thing about the venue, is that is closes at 4am...too early!

Door staff were efficient, some may find them intimidating, but it's not that bad. Bar staff we dealt with were friendly and quick.

But, this is not the place to shake loose at the end of a hard week. It's not very large inside and has a small dance floor playing House, and generally an over 30 type clientelle. Seemed to be predominately couples groups so not so much mingling between people. Up to you if that's a good thing or not.

What has happened to the White House ? - This used to be a place quite fun with friendly good looking people -now it is the biggest (and worst) meat market for spray-on orange essex tans with attitude (and that's the men). The music is boring house music despite their being two floors.... The staff ,don't even get me started ,so rude .....Sort it out!

This was the worst place I've visited in a long time. I never write reviews but I thought if I can save just one poor sod the displeasure of lifetime then it's worth my time. My friend had her birthday party there last Saturday. In reality we should have turned back the moment I saw the security. The three massively burly men were more than adept at manhandling every patron as they entered. Just the way I like to start my night!! 30 seconds after we entered the music stopped dead. The mix of tarted up wannabe wags were even scarier without the veneer of tunes to add atmosphere. When the music came on things definitely improved but the DJ definitely did not. I could only figure that the revenue from the obscene £10 entry and £5+ piss weak drinks was not being spent on the completely talentless DJ but rather on the impressive team of SAS killer bouncers. As a birthday venue it looked like the place to go. So much so I was waiting for McHappy Meals to be seved by a clown called Ronald. If you have any idea what so ever, then avoid this place like the plague.

I was there that night and im very sure if this happened regularly this venue wouldn't have been in business for the last 10years!
If the power cuts out anywhere, its not intentional! s*it does happen sometimes. In honesty i praise the way they dealt with the situation. Me and my friends were given an explaination as well as a free round of drinks. The power went back on, then failed again after about 10minutes and we had to leave the venue as explained by the manager due to health and safety (understandable!) but every person that left the venue got a free entry and drink token for the next visit. Seeing as all of this happened at around 2am, i thought it was a bit of a result!
I love the white house, totally different class to the rest of south london. If the guy above hasnt been before then it was unfortunate, but its never like this, i've had countless great nights there and will have alot more.

I randomly went there a couple of months back and thought it was quite good. Liked the fact that there was a cool, hidden roof terrace you could smoke on, although it closed later. The club had sunken tables and an awesome sound system. A night called Love Story or something were giving out things like glow sticks and shades, which was a nice momento for the night, to be honest it was all a little crazy but cool. Would go again for this night alone

Laughable. Rude staff, overpriced warm beer in dirty glasses that looked like they not been washed since cleared from a table. Filthy toilets full of idiots sniggering in the cubicles. 80% blokes to a few nervous looking Essex type girls. I could go on and on but after paying a tenner to get in this dive I think I should move on with my life and try and forget one of the worst nights of my life. Avoid like the clap.

Its a nice stylish venue. The staff inside are really friendly, the drinks are reasonably priced, and it has a really good atmosphere. I was there for a private function however to get upstairs we walked through the main bar on the ground floor which had a great vibe, and plush leather seating everywhere. The bouncers however are a disgrace, over physical and so rude. This place is definitely worth visiting however, just turn up on your best behaviour with a smile on your face!

What an amazing night. I had been to the venue quite a few times before and have always enjoyed myself but last Friday was something a little bit special. A.Skillz & the Soul Avengers on the same night and they were nothing short of fantastic. The rest of the DJs were wicked as well. More nights like this please - amazing!

Went down on a Thursday evening with a small group of friends; friendly staff and competent service all round. I had the Crispy Duck whilst my girlfriend had the Prawn & Chive Dumplings and considering it came in at under £20 including a few cocktails it really was worth the money. Will definitely be going back for more.

I am a huge vino fanatic and one thing that really impressed me about The White House was the small but well selected wine list, they were offering a nice selection of very good wines, all at a reasonable price. Their house white was in fact rather good!

The White House is one of those places where you walk past and immediately it draws your attention and all for good reasons. It's very tastefully decorated inside and hosts a really crisp sound system and is also home to a great variety of DJs.

There is always something different going on at The White House during the weekends and if nothing grabs your attention musically then head down to enjoy some good food and cocktails, all at very reasonable prices to be honest, especially on a Thursday where they offer 2 for 1 cocktails and half price food. Well worth checking out, especially if you're in the Clapham area.

This was my first visit to The White House since its re-launch earlier this year and I had very big expectations as I always used to be a fan of the venue. When I got there I really wasn't let down, they have done a great job in refurbishing the place and it looks great. The food was very well priced and tasty too, also their cocktails weren't too bad either. The best thing about it all was that it was a Thursday and unbeknown to me they were offing half price food, 2 for 1 cocktails and offers on wine too! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

After finishing work early last Thursday, myself and some colleagues decided to head to The White House for a quick bite to eat and a few stress relieving drinks.

When we got there we were told by the friendly staff that all the food was half price and cocktails were all 2 for 1. We couldn't believe our luck, so we spent the following 3 hours indulging ourselves in some great oriental food and sipping away at some pretty well made cocktails.

Thanks to the staff there for all their help and for making us feel so welcome.

It's not often that I get to go out anymore these days, but it was my birthday last week and having heard about their half price food and 2 for 1 cocktails on a Thursday I decided to head down to The White House. The food was really good and enjoyed by all, and I was greatly surprised at how much choice we had when it came down to the cocktails available to us. I think by the end of the evening I had tried nearly all of them! Friday at work wasn't quite as much fun I must say.

I have been around London's club scene for many years now and have been to some of the country's best clubs, but when I visit The White House there is always something special about the atmosphere in there. The venue is clean and welcoming and with a great sound system. The DJ lineups on the weekends are second to none and it's cheaper than most clubs around London too. If you haven't had a chance to get down and check this place out, you should make it your first priority this weekend!

We went clubbing at the White House ages ago and heard that it had now reopened. We couldn't make it to the club night in the evening so we thought we'd try it out in the day. They've made it look amazing in there and the White House food was exceptional. Definitely worth returning to.

The White House is so darn stylish and lovely that we've already planned a return visit! We had a brilliant night out here and we were just gutted we couldn't stay longer as there was some really funny people there. If you get the chance, come and join us at the White House - we'll be the ones hunting down Bush with our shotguns.
