not my kind of establishment at first, but throughly enjoyable good service and good selection, id go back.
What an outstanding bar to go to! This is a huge bar with loads of room to sit and talk wile being busy and giving you that busy friday vibe. Staff were friendly, and did all they can to serve you as quickly as they could go. Didnt have to wait long to get a drink. Went back to the bar the 2nd time and they remembered what I had ordered! The Wine Tun is worth a visit if you in the city, its also very close to the west end 2 stops on the tube!
hi,
i would like to share my amazing experience i had last night. I went to this venue where i had the best wine glass/advise in town, particulary Mount Brow Sauvignon blanc. i will go back to watch their match since the ambiance is great. A place to go but certainly a place where to back.

This is a fun bar to go to. Had a couple of drinks there with a friend, even though they were showing the football and had a big crowd there, the place still managed to have areas around were you could sit down and talk. We never had to go to the bar as they were staff around who were more than happy to take our order. Food was good and even with the fact is was busy took no time in arriving at our table. Good place to go to relax and catch up with friends.
Been to The Wine Tun and reviewed the place before and I can't believe it hasn't got more reviews as its a great venue for lunch. Popped in the other day to sample the new menu which is going out at £7, an absolute bargain! As usual the food quality is great and the service wonderful as always with the The Wine Tun
What a fun place to go. The waiter who looked after me was the best ever, he really made the whole experience for me. I had the sea bass which was out of this world. Nice atmosphere busy but still felt as though i could still talk to my friends, and we were still well looked after. Good place to go for a quick lunch. very good value for money especially if you have a taste London card!
Went here for a staff Christmas party! What a cool venue. The team were quick friendly and made me feel very welcome! Food was excellent mini burgers and duck wraps were a winner with me. Got all of us in the christmas spirit.
Have been here a couple of times in the evening but today was my first time for lunch. This place should be packed out if my experience was anything to go by. Great service, a lovely house sauvignon and the chicken and chorizo burger was fantastic!!
Visited for the first time in awhile a few days ago for lunch after being told by a friend they have good burger selection and was not dissapointed. I particually liked the choice of extra toppings on offer meaning you can pretty much make your own up. I plumped for a good old fashioned steak burger in the end which was brilliantly cooked.
The staff were friendly and the service was quick, would definitely visit again.
Joined some colleagues at the Wine Tun on Friday night as we had heard it does a karaoke night when we got there we got a big surprise. The surprise was that unlike so many other karaoke bars The Wine Tun offers the full experience; great karaoke, excellent friendly service, an excellent quality good value selection of drinks and superb food. I love singing karaoke so I'm making this my regular Friday night haunt, I recommend any other karaoke lovers do the same (if your lucky you may get to hear some of the bar staff sing a number there pretty good at getting people in the mood for a go)
Went to the Wine Tun Friday night for some leaving drinks. Fantastic bar!!! Service was outstanding, makes a change going to a bar and the staff are friendly and really seem like there having fun at work. Had some tapas which you can tell is all made in there kitchen. Good value. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a fun night out! Go on a Friday they do karaoke every Friday (fun to watch)!! By Metro Monkey
The Wine Tun is a good little place to eat. The food is well prepared and substantial. The only problem I have with The Wine Tun is the touristy setting of the cathedral in the background. I know that I have to put up with the tourists as I live in London, but I don't want them peering at me while I eat, thank you very much.
