Better than Boujis, better than Movida. Easily.
In the summer when the jazz is playing, it feels like you're in Cuba.
Yeah, I like the Becket

Went here for Sunday Roast, on 8 Jan 2012... meat was superb..the vegetables were lousy..I watched the ' chef' toss them in a Wok for a few minutes , they tasted terrible and was also drenched in Garlic!...the 'roast potatoes were just as grotesque, i saw the chef putting them under a large grill for a few minutes...they came up far to large..raw on the inside an just so wrong....the lunch was supposed to be Traditional Sunday roast...it was such a disappointment , when I pointed this out to the waitress she said the chef is South American and this is his version

I booked a birthday party very short notice for 17 September 2011. I was given VIP area and found the staff throughout very helpful, nice and really enjoyed my evening. I had a small budget for finger food and was provided with quite a lot of food and all good quality. Would definately use for a function again and highly recommend. All staff were brilliant, and owe them a big thank you for making my evening. Lovely cocktails! Great place to use for functions!

I've lived on old kent road for almost two years and have finally found my local bar, the cocktails are delicious, the vibe is super relaxed, and the party can kick off any time. Try the steak or sea bass when down there, at amazing prices. The service is great and you always meet new exciting people, a definite recommend if your in the area. 5 star all the way!!

I was invited to a friend's birthday on Saturday, which was the only reason I travelled to the area. And I was pleasantly surprised. The venue is gorgeous, security was a bit over the top but i guess that's a good thing. Our party was given the VIP and although the club was packed throughout the night the staff still attended to our every need. I danced all night and of course had one too many but was a fab time. I heard that there was another level downstairs for members but I only saw the one...does anyone know, I couldn't find their website??

I've lived on Albany st for over 10 years and have never really had much option as far as it goes for a nice venue to have a drink or meal so its exciting to see a place like this open on the Old Kent Road. My wife and I were apprehensive at first however we've been back a few times and the food is great (menu is quite small though), beer is super cold and staff very friendly. Hats off to our new local!

Thomas A Becket is the place to be, loved it! Me and my girls certainly had a satisfying night out. Our night was filled with yummy 5star cocktails & wicked music that kept me dancing on my feet all night. The atmosphere was amazing it was great having everyone together enjoying themselves. The staff were very polite and quick on the bar which was perfect if your anything like me :)i'd definitely recommend the Becket for a night out just as good as a bar in Central London & its right on my doorstep. It's so great having a bar to go to which is off the hook and local *thumbsup*

Wow. Looks lovely inside- cocktails were delicious- had a few nibbles and that tasted lovely. Shame I couldn't stay really but I and my friends will be going back. Such a gem- to think, we've had to go to South Bank just to have a nice place to drink and eat in when Thomas A Becket has now saved me all that hassle. Try the Seafood Platter! Nav.
