A great bar, the best cocktails in London (even in Europe!). We went there a couple of times the last few weeks.

Once on a Tuesday evening (9pm), once on a Friday afternoon (4pm) and cocktails were great. Price of the delicious Mai Tai is 11 pounds.

Other range from 8 to 12 pounds. But they are truly delicious. The interior is very warm and good looking. There's always some relaxing music playing.

They've got friendly staff working. (some more friendly then others, but hey, the barkeepers are great and very friendly!)

Toilets were very clean (that's not the case everywhere in London..).

I have been a regular customer over the last 10 years or so, drinks are still good (sometimes) but the service... disaster!!!

There is nothing left of what it used to be before, if you go to McDonald's you are going to be treated with much more attention, everybody is rude including the managers and the receptionists (where are the gentle traditional oriental girls with their big smiles??? It's a Polynesian restaurant!!!)

Hygiene: Before the new management, the toilets were like a lounge, with perfumes, all clean around plus someone gently passing you a towel when needed, (the standards you expect in a 5 stars hotel).

Now, if you go to a pub's men's, you probably won't be so disgusted, in Trader Vic's men's on a Saturday night there was vomit, pee, toilet paper everything on the floor, smelly and really dangerous, i preferred to step out and go to the reception upstairs and ask for a toilet...

Didn't want to catch any infection or anything and also I didn't want to ruin my shoes in that lake of excrements.

I wouldn't bring any of my friends as I would lose my face and dignity. I cannot accept to pay all the money they ask (it's expensive) and feel treated that way if i go to the toilet) it's unacceptable!!!

Easy to save money cutting, but treating customers like Sh... is the best way to lose them and forever i think...

Atmosphere: Let's hope soon everything will be back like before: nice staff, nice people and on top of all: BASIC HYGIENE STANDARDS!!!Peter

Trader Vic's is the bar to visit in London. Serving up Tiki/Polynesian drinks and food since 1963, Trader Vic's is the best place in the UK for Tiki refreshments in my opinion. The decor at Trader Vic's hits you as soon as you walk through the door - glass fishing floats, puffer fish, carved tikis, an outrigger canoe - you could spend all night just looking at this. The drinks are fantastic. Try the Mai Tai or Somoan Fogcutter. There's a long list of delicious cocktails for all tastes at Trader Vic's. The food in the restaurant itself is slightly pricey but well worth it. Delicious food and even better service.

I've been to Trader Vics a couple of times and found it really impressive. The food is amazing, the service exceptional and the atmosphere relaxing.

A word of warning though, Trader Vics is pretty pricey! One for special occasions only.

I was at Trader Vic's in February. The service was good until we complained that the sirloin steak was dry. The waiter told us that it was because it was done on a wood fire - go figure?! Overall the quality of the food was poor, service was good up to the point of the complaint and then became frosty. Overall the price was expensive given the quality of fare on offer - I would not eat at Trader Vic's again.
