I hired the downstairs room for a hen party (for 35 of us). The room looked a bit 'shabby chic' but had a comfy feel to it, plus the manager (Cassie) let us decorate it so it looked great for the evening. The buffet was superb (much better than the pub grub that you would expect from most pub/bars) and the bar staff were so friendly and cheerful. Drinks were good value for money (especially the 2-4-1 Cosmo's) and with a great range to choose from. I can honestly say that they made our night really special, and whilst I was worried about hiring somewhere I had never been before (as I'm not from London) we couldn't have had a better venue! I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to throw a party (especially if you want to hire the karaoke too!). Thanks everyone at Union!

I've just moved into the area and popped into Union this afternoon, and was pleased to find the service was attentive and friendly.I ordered the burger which was brought over in about 15 minutes, and I must say it was delicious. While chatting to the person behind the bar I was told that there had been a new chef appointed and that the food was only going to get better.....!!!!I also noticed that they had a 'credit crunch' soup and sandwich special for £5. I will definitely be going back in again to give it a try......
Went for lunch today the service was appalling and the food disgraceful. The pub as no atmosphere and beginning to look shabby and the staff are clueless and have no concept of customer service.
I work on Baker Street and Union is by far the best bar in the area. It has very reasonably priced wine and food and is good for lunch if you fancy eating out. Be warned Thursday and Friday nights at Union are busy, but excellent for a boozy night out.
Union is a simply lovely bar just off Baker Street and away from clueless tourist paths. I think Union would be ideal for business lunches & after dinner drinks.
I went to Union before Christmas when it was all new, liked it, went again recently and the place has gained more confidence, personality - and customers; Friday night was buzzing with a pre-club young professional crowd. Highly recommended.

Go there on your lunchbreak or after work drinks. Great roasts & brunches on weekends too.
My partner and I recently had dinner at Union, and thought the food selection, quality and service was excellent. Although the venue was busy we were looked after and food was prompt. My partner had fillet steak with port reduction and I a smoked chicken, papaya vietnamese salad, both were excellent. I recommend this venue to any one who wants super food at a good price in a welcoming venue.
Union is a fantastic venue, I recently held a party for 100 guests. The service, food & atmosphere was great, we felt genuinely looked after. I have also eaten there a few times after work, may I recommend the chorizo & butter bean stew and the charcuterie & cheese platters which are fab to share. All in all the staff make this a great venue to chill out and relax in.
