Vendome is nothing short of a very appalling club in all aspects.
It was my friends birthday and there was a group of us and we were also joining up with my other friends sisters friends.
Most of the friends i had there where of Filipino descent and my other friends sisters friends were all mostly of Turkish descent.
We lined up for the club all to pay our £20 to get in and that was all the men while the girls got in free. We all got in nicely no problem, and we where all looking to settle down in the lounge area waiting for the club to get more lively or while waiting for our friends to put the garments, bags etc in to the cloak room. 10 minutes later all we see is a security guard come down and say "Can all the boys of this group and that group follow me outside please" and before we knew it we were kicked out??
There reason was we apparently look like a group of people that caused a fight before or some pathetic excuse like that. So they gave us our money back and kicked us out for no reason. No trouble was started or anything, later on my friend overheard the manager saying to the bouncers "I don't want these Chinese and Turkish people in my club, i just don't want them here".
So basically Vendome is just a racist club with poor etiquette and obviously only wants white people and white people only in it.
Very sad and pathetic.
My worst clubbing experience! Everything about the club from the staff to the environment made you (me) feel as if everyone was better than me. I went with a young actor, and when he turned up he was treated like royalty by the staff! Us on the other hand were treated like worthless humans. He got everything for free! Us (non celebs) paid full price. Before I entered the actual dance floor, I was feeling bad about myself due to the way the staff treated me. This set the mood! To help me feel more confident I spent £10. 00 on a beer (overpriced) this made me more bitter. After the rich, sleazy 30 year olds pounced on the gold digging young girls. I decided Vendome is a horrid place.... I can safely say I will never go back, and urge you to never go.
The place is very small but very live.. got in without a problem since my friend was a promoter. However the bouncers were very horrible to other people and they couldnt get in.. hmm..
anyway my friend got a table and was filled with loads of people.. had lots of vodka and was really good..
It's a real shame that I can't give Vendome Mayfair a 0 star rating. Quite simply put, the management of Vendome Mayfair and the staff it employs are nothing short of appalling. One manager in particular is a complete disgrace and should be fired for his conduct. Vendome's management should be protecting their staff and patrons not molesting them and worse. Vendome Mayfair should be shut down and reopened as a kfc. It would attract better, more intelligent and socially acceptable staff.
The design of the club is pretty nice. Went there with friends and promoters, so it was a very drunk and fun night. Room to dance, easy to meet people, (especially when you are drunk and friendly) but I am not sure the crowd was that great, especially the men. Hmmm...Fun to go with good friends/promoters if you want to have a fun night with a narrow group of people and lots of alcohol (that's how I usually party anyways). I don't recommend going there with a just girls and not knowing anyone with a table, you will be disappointed.
I booked a table at Vendome to celebrate an award bestowed on my company. Unfortunately a rather chavy girl who goes by the name of Vix runs the table list decided to go on a power trip and exert what little authority she has in life by denying my girlfriend entry because she touched the rope whilst waiting to get in. If I hadn't witnessed this event with my own eyes I would never have believed it, quite why such abhorrent behaviour ensued is any-one's guess, I think perhaps this girl has a complex about anyone with more manners than herself (practically everyone) and decides to exert what little authority she has by belittling all and sundry that wish to enter Vendome. This ghastly girl then proceeded to squawk at the security and demanded that my girlfriend was escorted out of the queue. I decided to maintain the stance that if my girlfriend was not going to be permitted entry I and fellow guests would take our custom elsewhere. Fortunately the doorman who escorted us from the queue was quite reasonable and introduced me to the manager who ushered us inside once he realised that I had pre-booked a premium table with a substantial minimum spend. On arrival to my table which was situated by the dance-floor I had a great time as did everyone else that accompanied me. The music was great, the waiter attentive and the atmosphere refreshingly good. I just hope that Vendome will come to realise before it is too late that first impressions count and customer service starts on arrival, not just once inside.
Absolute waste of energy. Having lived in London for 2 years now this has to be one of the cities most classless places. The crowd are average wannabes that make cheap look cheaper. Expect to be pushed and shoved around by a bunch of child like hill billies.
I could not ever believe that a central London club could be so ugly and has so many bad points! I won;t go there in this life again and I hope others can learn from my mistake. We were a group of 14 people, spending nye at Vendome, at a pre-paid vip table. I got in advance a menu list with prices, and spending at least 1,500 gbp. At the club, the prices were higher in the menu, the service charge was almost 30% from the pay check. The waiter was trying to get from our table bottles of vodka that were already paid, thinking that everyone is drunk and no one saw it. Many weird and strange faces all over the club, we hadn;'t any chain to the dance floor separated to vip area, many drunk men were coming near our table trying to annoy us. Worst club ever, even in China the clubs were nicer!
Last week was my first time at Vendome and I had an absolutely amazing night. After reading other reviews on the club I was shocked that they were talking about the same club!
I found the door staff pleasant. Yes they came across stern, but surely when you are in a club you want door staff that can diffuse occurring trouble.
The decor of the club is stunning and sophisticated along with the bar staff.
All in all I couldn’t have asked for a better night.
Great place if you want to be surrounded by spoilt children and over-zealous, rude door staff. I would recommend you spend your money elsewhere - whether two figure or four figure sums - where the venue actually knows about customer service and do not have such obnoxious, power-tripping door staff.
Nice club but. Too crowdedabsolutely perverse male staff, I dont go to a club to be groped by their own staff it makes me feel sick. All the staff are chuck outs apart from the big guy on the door who was lovely. Get new male staff!
I was hugely diappointed with this mayfair club! Compared to all
the other amazing places available in London this is deffo bottom
of my list. The staff are rude, the venue is small and totally over rated.

London don't bother with vendome!
This club is so tacky. The bouncers get off on asserting their power over who gets into the club. In an attempt to try to make this club seem prestigious and high class, I was told I was not going to be let in unless I stood on one foot with my eyes closed for a full minute. When I failed this ridiculous task, I was escorted out of line and told not to come back. I had only had two glasses of wine almost two hours before coming to this venue. I was almost sober, yet being treated as if I were drunk and crazy. The bouncers need to realize that their job/class in life is a lot lower than the powerful people coming to their clubs, and to treat people like is too abuse the mere fragment of power they have in this world. I felt sorry for them, for they must be very unhappy. I have been to Vendome before, and it was not fun. The music is terrible, and people were even complaining when Tila Tequila started rapping at 1 am the night I was there. The club is never packed, and the drinks are way too expensive for their worth. You'd have more fun drinking in your apartment than at this "club".
One word *****glamour***** - loved it! Went there with a group of mixed friends. All of us girls got in for free and boys paid £20 which is average for london especially Mayfair. The place was lush the drink were average london prices what you would expect if you came out in Mayfair so don't expect a students night this one is for the people who enjoy a classy night out with a cocktail or two, not your usual riff raff which is refreshing. Great place for celeb spotting and expect the odd group of models. Definitely a place to see and be seen at. Xxxx
I went to Vendome last Wednesday for the first of its newest regular night Latin house. We arrived at around 10pm and got in the cue. We waited in anticipation as we love latin house and No other place is doing this at the moment! When we got to the door we went straight in no problems as we were on guest list. When inside the club we were amazed by the funky decor and stylish booths. Im from portugal and love my latin house music its very rare to find a place that plays it and when I was in the club the music was pumping straight away with a brilliant set from the first dj. Things really hotted up when the second dj came on and the place was electric! What an amazing experience didn't think I would ever see a major club like vendome hosting a latin house night but more of the same please brilliant night! Xxxxxxx
Went there for my friends birthday. Was hoping things would turn out good. Wrong. Got there around 10pm and there was already a massive queue. The doormen were very rude and were pushing people to get into a straight line. Once at the door, they couldn't find our names on the guest-list and we had to finally resort to showing the reservations on a blackberry. Once in we were asked to pay £20 each, and since it was Mayfair I wasn't really too bothered as I was expecting a huge night until I got in, to the actual dance floor. The club itself is too small, and people we're all over the place, trampling over people's feet and what not. I then decided to go over to the bar and resort to getting hammered, until I was told they also charge service charge, just like in the us :|. I then ended up spending £46 for three jd n coke's and one beer, that just shows how ridiculous prices are in Mayfair. Then there comes, Music. Music is a big part of my life as I am a part-time dj as well. The first dj of the night, who had blonde hair was totally whack. I felt like shoving the guy over and taking his place. He was playing the most ridiculous music ever. Reminds me of the club in Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad Of Gay Tony. Seriously, but then the next dj really impressed me. He was a guy wearing a baseball cap, New Era to be precise and he started playing the bangers, Hip Hop, Rnb and everything which today's society prefers like. For only 20 minutes. Then back to crappy House music it was. I finally decided to sit around and chill for a bit, until I saw the booths. They we're all filled with people who looked like scam artists. Seriously they paid £5000 for these booths and they look like low-life's. Overall I would not recommend Vendome Mayfair to a typical Londoner as you will leave the place disappointed and broke as a fool.
Vendome Mayfair oozes sex appeal and class. Great little find on Piccadilly. Music was really good and the crowd was electric. Fab place that is super sexy london stylee xxx
Great place to go out! I really recommend it. Its real swanky place with some great Djs. The atmosphere is buzzing and staff are nice and friendly. Best to get there early as girls get in free before 12 bonus! :) love love love Vendome xxx
Had a fab night out at Vendome Mayfair last Saturday, it has a chic and sexy feel and a good mix of music something for everyone. Staff were very friendly. Nice to be a club where boys have to wear smart clothes everyone looks glam. Drinks were flowing at a good pace, and prices were very average for London. Best bonus of the night was the free entry fr girls before 12pm. Overall a classes club with brilliant music, glam people and delicious drinks what more do you want? :) xxx
went to vendome last saturday. It was my first time there. Me and my friends had really good time, no troubles on the door actually i found the doorman very friendly with us. Prices are the same like any of this Mayfair night clubs.( we payed £20 entry/person ). At the beginning i wasnt happy with the service at the bar as the barmaid didnt know how to make kamikaze shots. Later on we discovered a small bar opposite side of the venue in a corner and we met the most gorgeous funnyest barmaid ever!
She kept us there until closing. To sum up we had a good night and most probably will go back!
is bad..i wasted my birthday yasterday there..the place is crowded and small dance floor..people walk on ur feet and hit u while dancing ..hardly a place to dance ..door men are nice tho..nice staff..but the music is .rubbish ..even requested a song by the dj he didn't play it..its really small place and they take loads of men ,,drinks are pricey ..don't waste ur night there..unless u wanna sit on table and drink why tables r expensive for that small place and 20£ entry thats a lot for that small place.? i been pushed all night people just crossing over and walked on my shoes..and a guy burnt my hand with cigarette at the smoking area ..the dance floor is really bad u need to watch the steps when walking ..as there are many steps on it..a bit tricky.
Awesome night out whenever I go to Vendome... Top DJ's, nice crowd, and always a great time had... I suggest you get there early tho, they get busy very early.
Went to Vendome on Saturday, loved the club. Very small but intimate and a good looking crowd. I was definitely impressed.
Me and my friends all went down to Vendome last night, a last min decision. The guys on the door were great and as we were guest listed we simply joined the queue and went in. Great music and great crowd! I don't go out in London much anymore as its all rather samey, but we all left feeling great. Well def be going again next week, want to try a Sat next :)happy clubbing
Nice looking club, good music, good looking crowd, great location. I had a great night at Vendome and will be returning again, I've only been once (thursday) but found it to be a little empty, probably usual for a weekday. I had a VIP guestlist so didn't encounter any problems at the door or with bar service, this really is the place to get on a good guestlist and share a table or booth with friends, not a place to pop in for a quick drink.
On the down side, the club was a little small so we continued on our adventures after a few fun hours at Vendome.
I went to Vendome this past Saturday and had one of the best nights. I was with a group of 8, no problems on the door and found the guy to be super friendly. Awesome music inside and a really good vibe, will def be going back.
Had a great time at Vendome on Saturday with the girlie's..great vibe, DJ was Top... I'll be back next week.
Please avoid this club. Violent and unsafe. I wouldn't suggest my worst enemy to go
I agree with the reviews about this place. I wasted my evening by going to this club. The guys at the door have an attitude problem and most of the staff in the club are so rude, they act as if they own the place. Furthermore, the music was rubbish so not worth staying in the club.
Honestly, I really would not recommend this place unless you want to have a crap night. You would be better off staying indoors then wasting your time to go to this club.
It does not take much to impress me, but all I can say is stay away!
I am a student who is studying marketing and branding. I tend to go every experimental places especially in London. Ive already heard of that nightclub was working underperformance before my experience. And now I all agree all those bad views etc. If you r expecting to go to a posh,elegant and classy night club, I honestly say that Vendome is not the place. I havent seen any bouncers anywhere who has right to behave customers that rude. You can not believe what happenned to me.There was a fight and I was smoking outside at that time and security guys attacked everyone even me where I was on the corner.I can not explain how much i was scared. On the other hand lovely bar tender did not know what mojito was. I agree all those girls and boys are really goodlooking but What they do is business.That is not ethical to take customers money much much more than other good places and at the end of the day give them nothing.I tried to speak the club manager to say what they do is wrong and he was just smiling he seriously didnt respond my questions. There was another group people around celebrating their friends birthday.One of their friends was late but the guy was on the guest list.However Management and scary bouncers didnt let him in and all birthday group left the club and It is awful that for someone's birthday and as you quess they paid too much money for their drinks and entrance.I dont know what to say that is SUCH A SHAME!!
Totally agree with everything you all wrote. I actually do not understand why Vendome do not act upon all these negatives reviews, they obviously do not care about their members or customers. My friends and I had a similar experience and I definitely do something about the way they treat people at the doors if I were the manager. But then again very often managers are not owners therefore they do not care as long as they receive their wages every months. Owners do not go online to check reviews etc they are too busy promoting and or expending their businesses, have dinner at Ritz and they have no idea what is going on........
Agree with the other negative reviews. This is THE club in London that I will NEVER GO BACK to. The door staff in particular are a disgrace. Despite being confirmed by email by the club promoter to be on the guest list we were harassed by the gorillas on the door who said the guestlist organizer was wrong and we have guarantee to spending XXXX for a table. Despite admitting it's their staffs fault they were extremely rude and completely put my entire party of going their again. We'Ve been out many times in Mayfair and am used to a certain level of difficulty at doors, after all its Mayfair...but this is one place I will always VETO going to!!
Wish i could give -100 stars for this disgrace... probably the worst west end club I've ever been to! Bad music, awful crowd and a door policy that makes you want to leave before you even enter!
The other reviews have already covered this pretty well so I won't get into much detail. If you would like an awful night, with the music that is "trying" to satisfy all tastes and ends in a big mess, overpriced drinks and pretentious crowd who go to a place and post their pictures on facebook to show that they are "trendy" then go to this hole!
Oh, and don't get me started on the door staff behaviour...it seems they all escaped from a farm far away from civilisation... AVOID
If you're like me, then you seek out exclusive venues to get away from the drab that goes with other places. Queuing for ages at the door, not getting great customer service and the like. A friend of mine was hosting an evening at Vendome, so great, I thought it would be a fab night of polite staff showing you to our table, serving the vodka and treating us with courtesy. Instead, we had to wait 40 minutes in the queue. Whilst finishing off a phone call we were told "you need to stop that now, are you going in or staying out."We replied "we're coming in, I've just finished now, as I hung up." The doorman replied, "well, you can't stand there anyway" and then grabbed my friend by both shoulders and pushed her away. We showed him that the phone was no longer in use and was allowed back in the club without further assault.
We asked to see the General Manager - "Johnny" to mention his doorman's rough handling. The General Manager then said "no, that's my head doorman, he wouldn't do such a thing." We called the doorman over to which he admitted the incident and started to appologise for hurting my friend. The General Manager, however, proceeded to tell us that he "didn't like the look of us, and I'm the General Manager I can have you thrown out." To which he asked the doorman to escort us off the premises. Despite the fact that this place is dated, ridiculously over-priced and arrogant, nobody should pay good money to be treated like a criminal for doing absolutely nothing wrong! Good luck if you decide to make a trip to this place - you'll need it!!
For a club which marks itself for standards and class, its ironic that the girl on the door with an accent which derives from Dalston and looks like Worzel Gummage the scarecrow (on a good day) has the bare cheek to turn all and sundry away at the door for not meeting the required "vendome standards." I agree that a tough door policy is required at West End clubs to keep out the undesirable's though employing arguably the most ugly (greasy ginger haired) West End door girl to administer this role is anything but naive and business suicidal. If Vendome is to be the Premium club they aspire to become they should sort out their act on the door.
We were a group of girls on a hen's night, had placed our names on the guestlist beforehand, arrived on a Saturday night at 10.30pm and were charged £10pp entry even though we were on the guestlist which was supposed to mean we could gain entry for free before 11.30pm. The dance floor has a step around the edges which is dangerous as it trips people easily. There were many girls and a couple of boys who looked underaged. There seemed to be a ratio of 1 man:10 women. Drinks pricey and the music average. Will never go there again.
Vendome Mayfair is a disgrace, with a rude door staff who don't posses any sense of respect or dignity whatsoever. Even that one star is way too much for Vendome Mayfair. The overpriced drinks, tiny space and mean, rude and unhelpful door staff make it the Worst Club in London.!
I have been to Vendome many times - an average club with over priced drinks. The last time I went it was full of under age girls, and middle age men. The door staff are beyond rude - they are glorified thugs. One door man treated my guests as if they were second rate citizens. He pin pointed one girl as being on drugs, which we are still laughing about, as she has never touched drugs in her life. She unfortunately has large blue eyes - which according to him were 'drug eyes.'
He then proceeded to bully myself throughout the night. He swore at us. He kept saying 'you don't know who i am.' Yes - we do know who you are - a glorified thug without a proper job. Vendome is one to be missed. Sometimes rude door-staff are worth it for a quality club; this club is so over. You are much better off staying clear!
Extremely poor club, disgraceful service, overpriced drinks and poor music make this a club to miss. The manager and lady at the door have average IQs in sync with the general experience you will get when you go there. Far better places to spend your money in close proximity ie mahiki, funky buddha, etc
Lol Vendome Mayfair is ridiculous, idiotic if I may. I've been there several times when I first arrived to London, but never really enjoyed it. I now go to places such as Raffles, No5, or Movida. Hell, even Jalouse is better, which respect fundamental human rights. To be honest it is one of the worst clubs I've been to. Do avoid Vendome Mayfair, nothing special about it. On top of that, the owners of that place are always looking rudely at their customers and showing off. Seriously just avoid that place.
