I think that the Venus Bar is a lovely local bar in Colliers Wood with a hint of French chic, with their stylish new awnings and seating, its a very pleasant bar/restaurant where you can enjoy eating drinking and watching the pedestrians walk by.
Its reasonably priced and has half price steak nights midweek which I particularly enjoy !

Venus Bar and Brasserie was voted best bar in Colliers Wood in 2006 - and rightly so. This seems like the best eating and drinking place for miles, specialising in steak and chicken dishes. I'd recommend it to anyone, mainly because of the friendly atmosphere.

Venus Bar & Brasserie - a stone's throw away from Colliers Wood! More like throw a stone at it! The Venus Bar & Brasserie management are rude and the manager is the owners other half and thinks she is someone great. The food used to be good until the take over. Try the Colliers Wood Tup which has a much nicer atmosphere.

Venus is a great little bar come restaurant. The best thing about it is that the staff is great, always very friendly and unobtrusive. They do fantastic Steak Night deals, on a few nights of the week that are great value. Although let down by the location - right on the busy exit to the tube station - its one of those places you hope will succeed because of the staff and the good quality of food served. If Venus had a beer garden it would have a permanent place in my heart.

A stones throw from Colliers Wood station, Venus Bar & Brasserie serves loads of booze and offers fantastic food. Go there on a Monday and Wednesday for the half price steak night - what a bargain! Venus Bar is a really cool and classy place to go - actually a good spot to take a date.
