I love the simplicity of the decor which makes the venue look 1000 bucks! The waitresess are all smiles and arent as mundane as in other bars where you wait while they chat (I hate that!) I like to head in after work for the happy hour, which is when the place fills up very quickly, to make sure I get in I have an area booked in advance which becomes our "gathering" spot for the night when more mates come down. I like the split of boys and girls becuase its never heavily male dominated I feel like I can dance on the dancefloor without a worry and dont get harrased. Check it out, I rate this place!

Bar Wax has given me some of my best nights out in London because of its diversity and non-pretentious crowds. I loved the fact that the first time I came and wasnt aware of the dress policy he allowed me to wear thongs and the fact that he remembered me when I came back next time. It added quite a nice touch to my nights, because I came out and was let back in without a hasstle later on in the night. The cocktails were more then affordable so my girlfriends and I werent holding back on the rounds. I have been back for lunches and dinners there but cant wait to revive my london nightlife in Wax again!

I have been to the Wax bar numerous times since moving to London mid last year and I find it the perfect wind down after a big day of shopping. I love the business of Oxford Street and the variety but when it all gets too much I sneak into the small street where Wax bar is for the happy hour. Its got the London stylish feel without the stylish London prices. This is why I always end up there and recomend it to anyone whose ever felt like a nice relaxing dinner (and drinks) after a big shop.

I came down on thursady night and i have not been to Wax. the place is fab, with its nice little booths and some really cool decor, i wish i had been here more often. I was with 13 girls friends and i have to say there are some really attractive workers and customers. The best thing is, I am a modell so blokes like to have a good look if you know what i mean, bur not at wax, you don't get those sleezy, greasy men with their tongues out looking at you.

All in all, a really good night and i recommend this to anyone who wants a great night and wants to let their hair down.
Enjoy.
Thanks.

Went there last Thursday and won a £100 bar tab!! This after the ridiculously cheap, yummy drinks was the perfect addition to an already great night! Will be coming back next Thursday to spend my tab and try my luck again!

Great bar! Massive turn around in the last few months. The atmosphere is 100% better than it was this time last year, very very pleased. Had a fantastic night and myself and crowd plan on making this our new weekend regular nightspot!

ive been to wax a few times, and agree it helps to know a promoter!
music has a good mix, they do love their 2 step tunes towards the end of the night!
bar staff are so so one guy is luvly he remembers your drink so u only need to look in his direction and he's on the ball! the others can be a tad moody, drinks are of usual central london price, but when you buy the bottle they put it in a jug..which i wasnt happy about! although im not sure if this is a regular thing or just as it was NYE.
the dance floor can be a sweat box on busy nights, and ive had many drunk girls start for stupid reasons!
everyone in their is generally quite friendly the blokes get a bit fresh, but nothing out of hand, most times ive been its a majority asian croud but then anywhere in the west end is like that, seen as they dont like trainers!
Overall music was decent funky house bashment r'n'b hip hop garage, and the dj takes requests, drinks are good, as long as you go in equal mixed groups the door staff are fine.

Went here on Sat 17th November 2007...good music, good mixed young crowd, quite fun.

Was a little small for my liking though...but there was a good range of music, so if you like RnB, a bit of garage and bashment, and some funky house...you'll like it at Wax!

well,

i been there twice the only reason i returned a second time was because a friend was promoting so was easy to get in otherwise i would not have returned.

As a girl i can tell u its a sausage fest in there...great if your the kinda girl that likes guys to grab you left right and center while your simply trying to get to the ladies toilets or grabbing your ass...i got into 2 fights while in there ...seems any slimey perv can get in that club!!

the music is so so if u like rnb, u will like the music but than they start playing crao like mc hammer!!??!!

id give it a 4.5 out of 10...dnt plan to go again!!

Arrived at Wax last Friday around 6.30, I couldn't find anywhere to sit as all the booths were booked out, I was told it's free to reserve one so I'll make sure I do that next time. Anyway I was in time for happy hour which was great, even the yummy sharing platters were cheaper! Overall me and my mates had a great night, the music was ideal if you like a bit of everything, no rugrats around which is always a bonus. I think Wax is great place to go to straight after work or if you've been shopping all day up and down Oxford St.

Set back from the bustle of Oxford Street Wax was a great find to relax from too much shopping. Little did I realise that things got going from 6pm and the place was busy with a really nice crowd of mid 20's which was great as there wasn't a student around. But the drinks were almost at student prices. What a great idea - why should students always get the cheap drinks?!

Needless to say we stayed for a little more than we had planned but it was such a nice atmosphere it seemed like such a waste to leave. It was really nice to find somewhere up this side of town on Thursdays that's busy, with a good looking crowd but without the pretentions. And I have to say the doorstaff were really friendly as were the staff. I will definitely be returning!

I also wasn't too impressed with Wax. The staff and bouncers were so rude, and fobbed our friend off at the door because he was in a bad mood. They spoke in the rudest manner. I haven't experienced this much attitude before, even in bigger and better clubs!

The music was not as advertised and was very disappointing. The bar is horseshoe shaped and while the seating areas were nice, the dancefloor was tiny and overcrowded.

It took ages to get served at the bar but the bar staff were nice. I didn't like the crowd here as there were some trouble makers trying to steal our bags in front of us and sitting on our reserved booth. Also, people pushing in at the cloakroom! Needless to say I won't be back to Wax.

I was not impressed to be honest. The Wax bouncers and staff were rude. They wouldn't let us in on the guest list because we arrived at 11pm and the guest list closes at 11pm, so they made us all pay £10.00 to get in. There was no compromising at all. The bar area was nice but the dance floor was and the general feel of the place was quite stuck up. There was no customer service at all. One lady had a go at my friend for taking too many straws! They all need to lighten up in this place. Needless to say I won't be going to Wax again.

I went to Wax bar last week and didn't expect to stay long, as I was tired. Man, did my mood change after the first drink. It is such a great place to just chill and mingle.

The staff, music and people are a great combination. I definitely will be going there again. Wax is strongly recommended.

Went to Wax on Thursday and it was nice. It wasn't crazy busy but the DJ was playing some good music. We just managed to get in at the end of happy hour but they have food all night. We will all be back on the 26th for the Wax Las Vegas party.

I had some friends over from Sweden and I took them to Wax on Friday. There were so many different types of people my Swedish friends were amazed. I will definitely book a table next time. Look out Wax, Sweden is about to land on your door step.

We are all coming to the LAS VEGAS party later this month.

I was out with the girls on Saturday night and they took me to Wax. I never even knew it was there! It was a fun night (at about 11pm 120 people came in, with different costumes, I think they were stag and hen nights. The DJ was playing some great funky house and the staff were really friendly especially when I lost my friends. Then to finish the night the Wax bouncer sorted out a cab for us.

I was at Wax on Friday and it was packed. Luckily some friends reserved a table as it was hard to even find standing room. There were lots of cocktails that were cheap in Happy Hour and we filled our table with wine as well. Then just as we were getting lively the Wax DJ started. What was supposed to be just acouple of drinks afterwork turned into a cab home at 3am and a massive hangover on Saturday.

Friday night and heat was on to find a great place to move our feet to the summer heat! So traveled to London for a night out with my mates. Found our way to Oxford Street where most of the women in London spend their time and money, Followed a few of them for a bit and found Wax.

Made it in just before 9pm so managed to skip door charge. Once inside couldn’t belive the atmosphere and ended up meeting the girl of my dreams. We try to go back to Wax once a month to relive our meeting of chance.

I had a great time a Wax two weeks ago. I was there on a Friday Night and the place was rocking. It was very busy, and I thought it was a hidden gem. The music at Wax was a great mix of everything (they even played some Garage at the end of the night). Drinks are reasonably priced.

I'll definitely be going back to Wax (but will sort out a guest list. I don't want to stand out in the cold).

I had the misfortune to step inside Wax last night and didn't even stay for a drink. My friend and I were desperate for the loo so nipped downstairs first. The stench in the ladies was horrendous and there was a cockroach scuttling around on the floor to boot.

We got out of Wax as quickly as we could. 'No thank you waitress, we will not be dining with you this evening.'

Wax is the worst club I have ever been to. It is full of trouble-makers and wannabe gangsters. Trouble getting in if you are not with girls. Music is not great, and the bouncers are jobsworth idiots. Hate Wax, will never go back again.

Wax Bar is ok for a get-together after work or in my case a leaving do. It has a nice mix of crowd, although did wonder what the hell that woman who obviously just came out from work was doing on the dance floor - coz it sure weren't what I call dancing!
,br>

Food and drinks were reasonably price for West End - £6.00 for a double Malibu and coke. Nice range of cocktails too at £6.00.

Music was all dance, and they even turned some RnB tracks into dance tracks. They did however switch to normal RnB at around 11pm. Overall, Wax is a nice bar, and I would definitely go again.

We were on the guestlist for Wax, but the ignorant doorman said it didn't mean anything and we had to queue. When we got in, it was a packed out sweatbox.

Drinks were overpriced for such a dump. Not enough bar staff either. Played old RnB all night. To get to the toilets you had to walk across the dance floor. WIll not go to Wax again.

I went to Wax on Saturday. It was buzzing and the athmosphere was great. The DJ was playing great music with a mix for everyone. The bar staff at Wax served the best mojito I have ever had.

Next saurday I will definitely be back, and book a booth, for free as well!

Best night in a long time!

Wax is utter crap. Absolutely hideous place! I have never been so intimidated just standing in a bar in my life. The place is full of people who think they're gangsters, most of whom stand by the toilets wanting to kill each other. If you're off your face and want to hang around with other selfish aggressive people, then you'll love this place!

It pains me to even give one star to Wax - horror venue!!! We were due to spend the evening here for a friend's birthday and duly had all of our names added to the guest list. When we arrived, we were told the place was full and could only go in if we were couples. Disgusted, we walked round the corner and had a top night in Mash instead.

Went for a drink at Wax after work on a Wednesday evening. We arrived during happy hour so I expected to wait a fair while to get served. Having waited 30 minutes and contemplated going elsewhere, I was finally served by a barman who could barely speak English. He made our cocktails as slowly as humanly possible before taking my card and leaving it next to the till whilst serving more customers. I repeatedly tried to get his other barstaff's attention, however not before the imbecile who had served me gave my card to a lady not even in my party and who had paid by cash!! I quickly rescued my card and subsequently tried to speak to the manager who was 'unavailable'. Needless to say, I will never be returning to this bar.

Just had my Birthday party at Wax on a Saturday night and I couldn't fault the place. Good atmosphere, very helpful and friendly staff and good-ish music. I reserved an area and there were no problems. Place was quite busy even at 7.30pm. Only thing is they were very strict on the door but some of the people were underage so understandable. Would definitely go back as it stays open until 3am!

There should be an option to score O for this bar. What started out to be a good night at Wax bar, having reserved a booth for a friend's birthday drinks and a company drink with some clients - turned out to be the worst night ever! A friend and I went outside at about 10.30pm for a breath of air and went to go back in and were told 'You are not coming back in'. We were merry which is to be expected after our group of 10 people had been in the bar since 6pm and spent quite a few hundred pounds in their bar! But nowhere near drunk enough to be kicked out - so that was two girls outside in the cold with no jackets or bags, another friend came out to see if we were okay and was also kicked out and manhandled when she tried go back and get our coats and bags. This place would have been a good bar to have a few drinks in were it not for the jumped up Hitlers on the door. This is one average bar I will NOT be visiting again!

Organised a birthday party at Wax Bar. One of the worst experiences in my bar-going history. Guestlist was messed up and the male guests were left waiting outside. Despite my constant attempts at trying to reason with the manager, I was fobbed off with the rudest behaviour. I was told that there were too many males in the group, however, this was not an issue when I sent the bar my guestlist. Policies seemed to be made up on the spot and there seemed absolutely no remorse on their part. In the end, the bar was only half full and there were obviously far too many girls. I felt completely discriminated against because the males left outside were all the Asian males. Will never go back.

I drink in Wax regularly and can safely say that, whilst there are many, many other bars in London that are much, much better, it's still a good stop off if you're looking for a bit of fun. Does all the right things right and fails to annoy - which is more than enough in my book.
