Music was really good, the dj was very in sync with the mood, but this was the clubs downfall, although the bouncers and bar staff etc were all really nice, the atmosphere was weird, like it seemed people were waiting for something to happen, which wouldn't unless they got involved, there was a lot of people at tables and bars just watching and staying put all night. The entertainment of girls was good in concept, but i don't think is necessary for a place like it was - didn't really suit it. the potential was there, but just lacked substance.

Went to Whisky Mist on Sunday the bar was nice music OK nothing special and that about it.

The management was very impolite not co-operative it seemed they only care what you got to say if your spending money that the idea i got when i was there, the people out side doing the gust list are rude i had a table book, me and my gust waited 30min to get in even when i showed them 3 confirmed E-mails which they still said you got no table but u can go in, but you need to pay, not a good start to the night the security was even ruder i try to go up stairs when the promoter came up to me and said sorry here your table when i tried to go speck to him to get are money back from the door they said go down or they throw me out..and they where calling my female friend names

The table are the size of coffee table you only got room to put A bottle down no where to site down.

personalty i had a really bad experience and would never recommend it to any one it was over price and not worth the time or the money. unless you got now were else to go on a Sunday.

OK this club is overrated.I went to Whiskey Mist last night with my friend it was simple to get in although must waren you of the rude woman with a clipboard! There were some people in front of us who must have some claim to fame because the bouncer recognised them and whispered to the woman with the clipboard and they were let in FOR FREE.Unless you are in a medium sized group of attractive women, famous or a regular you will have to pay 20 pounds to get in.If you ar lucky enough to get in for free you will be treated to free vodka by the promoters. The club itself is tiny you when we got there it was about 11 and there were barely any people here it got alot more crowded from 12 onwards. The crowd is fairly young and the male/female ratio is about 1:10.I was surprised to hear that Prince Harry and his posse come to Whisky Mist it's really nothing special. The music is so annoying.Until about 12 they were playing repetitive fashion show type music and then after they started playing over remixed versions chart music. If you aren't fortunate enough to get free drinks you will have to fork out anything from 10-2000 pounds.Overall I would say I had a good night, but I am sure there are much better clubs in London to go to.

The female with the clipboard at the door was incredibly rude in letting us in even though we were on guestlist and had booked a table. In the end we had to pay to get in! The club itself is far too small to be charging such high prices for entry and drinks. Atmosphere is terrible. AVOID this club as there are far better ones in and around the west end!

Well, I'd tell you how it was if I actually got in. We had a reservation, it was my best friends 21st birthday (which I know here isn't a big deal, but we're Americans so it was a huge deal) and they still wouldn't let us in. We had been to another club earlier to just start the night off with a drink or two, my friend had all of 2 drinks and the bouncer tried to tell her that she was too drunk to go in. Trust me, I know when my friend is too drunk, and would've been the first to admit it. All she was doing was talking loudly to us, which is how she is, not even to the bouncer. Then he turns and whispers to the bitchy woman that she's too drunk and makes us leave the queue. Whisky Mist has a bunch of pretentious bouncers who think they are God's gift to this earth, NEWS FLASH: you're a bouncer.

what a horrible place! When I was dancing with my friends, someone threw an ice cube to me it hit my face. It came from a table which is next of the bar counter. It was so painful, I got a bruise about 1 week.
If the ice cube hit my eye....I don`t want to imazine that. maybe I might to lose my eye sight. Before, this club was such a nice place. Nice peole, nice atmosphere... However nowadays, only rude people go there. If you don`t want to get an dangerous experience, AVOID,AVOID,AVOID........

worst experience i have ever had we booked a VIP table not cheap by the way and the place was too over packed to the extent other people ended up sitting on our table no structure or so called policing by the bouncers very disapointed all round
would never recommend this place to anyone meant to be one of the best clubs in London i don't think so maybe one of the worst i have visited and they were well over priced on drinks.

Amazing club when u can get past the bitchy unreasonable woman at the door even the bouncers agree she us a total bitch u can pre book this club and she can still give any reason and not let u in I have been there so many times before and if it's not her tine of the month u can get in otherwise forget it. I agree u have to keep the scum and local rif raf out but her actions damage the club to good paying clients what's even funnier in the line up u get students that haven't booked or have 2 pence between them but they stroll in with there primark type clothes yet saville row shirts and bvalgari is too low for the ungrateful b...... as I say I would love to write something good but her actions lead me to this scathing blog be aware

Friend of someone who worked there managed to get me and my 5 friends free entry, free table and complementary drinks all night. The place is gorgeous and the tables with ice buckets etc are great, especially when they bring you mixers and a huge bottle of vodka. Dont remember alot of the night due to my glass being topped up ALOT! The best bit was that because it was my birthday and we were on the VIP table, a waiter with a skeleton mask came over and offered us all these amazing shots with sparklers and wished me a happy birthday! We also got lots of lovely champagne which we were urged by the waiters to drink from the bottle.
Saying all that, if I had to pay for the great night we had, I really wouldnt because the prices would have been extraordinarily expensive. Plus I do agree that some of the more senior staff were slightly pretentious and we were looked down on a bit as we left very nosily and boisterously at the end of the night.
We had a great night...but only because it was free!

Like most London clubs, Whisky Mist does not get busy until at least midnight. The staff were all very polite and the waiters very good looking. Had a bit of trouble from various different tables to do with space provided to each group but this was quickly and efficiently sorted out by one of the deputy managers. Everyone here was having a good time, the music was excellent and both the VIP and main section of the club are of good size to dance but do get very very hot. We stayed until closing and the club began emptying quickly at 230 am. Overall I would recommend Whisky for an occasional night out in a nice area of London

I would say the club venue itself is not that great - the ceilings are low and the club is quite small. The music is alright. Good days to go are Sundays and Tuesdays. I would say this club is alright, but I think I prefer Maddox or Jalouse. Of course Me and a friend were at a table in vip because we know people, so the drinks were free all night, no problems getting in or any rudeness from staff. On the contrary the staff were very pleasant. I would say I can go to this club once in a while, it's not bad, as it is often visited by celebs on the week, but it is not amazing.

I went last Friday. Was a decent night! Managed to nab a VIP table with a couple of blokes who was asking on the street haha! - got free drinks all night. Not sure how good it would be for those who have to pay and don't have a table, but for me and my girls had a good time and would definitely go again.

We went to Whisky Mist last night and organised to be put on the Guest List, we did arrive very early (almost as soon as it opened) and I was nervous after reading previous reviews. We had no issues getting in, we were on the list as promised, door men friendly and what's more since we were early (all tables fully reserved and we had not booked) they allowed us to sit at any table until the other guests arrived. When they arrived the girls just moved us to another booth and we pretty much scored a table until 1am and by that time we had filled our bellies full of cocktails and were ready to dance.

Cocktails were very good, around £12.5 which I feel is normal for Mayfair, the bar man was extremely nice. I thought he had given me the wrong cocktail so I took it back to the bar (it had Tequilla in it!) when in fact it was my mistake, I requested the wrong one. No issue, he was extremely friendly and said he would put me together a cocktail more suitable which was vodka in some weird but fun trophy thing. Lovely service.
The female bar staff were not as friendly, I waited a while and they tended to serve the guys first - when I told her I was before another gentleman, once he left she explained he was her customer and thats how she earned her living and apologised for keeping me waiting. A little annoying but whats to say if someone tipped me big and I worked the bar I wouldn't have done the same thing.

Overall not the best club I have ever been too but more than suitable for a group of girls looking for good music, nice cocktails and to have a little fun and far better than the previous reviews make out.

Most of us however do have boyfriends, I have to say I was glad I wasn't single, the talent of the girls far outweighed the boys/men (older guys or guys with zero dress sense were spotted) but definitely a club for fun and a boogie with friends.

I would go back if I was in the area but probably still prefer the vibe of mahiki.

this gets one star because it wont go lower!! i had a min. £2000 spend table booked on tues 25th may as black eyed peas were to be there, was told beforehand that the boy/girl ratio wouldnt matter but then turned up and it was chaos outside. bouncers were pushing people out into the road, one of our party was in a wheelchair and they had no consideration for that and when we got to the women with the clipboard she refused us entry to our table because there were too many blokes and there is no one you can talk to to sort it out!! the staff are unfriendly, unhelpful and arrogant and let the slight bit of authority they have go to their heads!! we were then told that if we paid £3000 they would let us in, an absolute joke!! they then added that alicia keys was inside and they had given our table to her, whatever next!! all of this took 1hr 30 mins to get nowhere!! at about 11.30 they shut the front doors and refused entry to all blokes!! outside i got talking to a women who had been in the club and she said it was far too overcrowded and there was just no control inside, people were even just spilling into the VIP area!! however, my 90 min journey to london was not wasted!! i phoned funky buddha and was there in 5 mins with a crowd of seven blokes with a VIP table!! there was no problem, staff inside and out couldnt have been more helpful, i saw david haye and got talking to david bentley and the owner and this was by far the best club ive been to in london!! there is no arrogance, everyone is laid back and down to earth, music is great, 5 stars for funky!!

Went there on the 5th of May. Definitely the lamest 'club' I've ever been to... better DJs play for the kids at Butlins Holiday Camps. My cocktail tasted like Umbongo. Security and staff were grumpy. The girls behind the bar were seriously wearing these horrible little Ann Summers style basques. The punters were all self-important pimply city boys, the girls all had exactly the same GHD hairstyle and bodycon black dresses.
I can't understand how people convince themselves they're having a good time in places like this? I've had more rock n roll baths.

I think this club is completely over rated and over priced. Dingy and dark inside, with the odd celeb hanging around, tiny little tables, and a small cramped dance floor. find yoUrself squeezing inbetween the over crowded club to get a drink from the bar or get to the toilet.
The toilet attendant was rude and miserable. unless ur a member and have the 'key' to VIP etc then its not worth while bothering

Hi All

Went to whisky mist about 2 weeks ago...

Id say on the whole it was a good club, quite small, but the dj was really good. Drinks are your average price for a top end west end club, a mixture of people were there, a bit more uptight than some other clubs, but then what would you expect... Id have to disagree that there were old sleezy men ... didnt see any! haha

The only things i thought id point out is

a) the girl on the door is utterly slow... we were in the guestlist queue... with only 1 group of 5 people in front of us and we waited probably an hour to get in so that wasnt fun

b) I wouldnt rely on pre booking a table here. Saw an angry mother of whos daughter had been turned away along with her friends. Her daughter had come to celebrate her 21st birthday and apparently had booked a table in advance and had confirmation from one of the managers, but was turned away on the door as footballers had now booked the table.. pretty saddening and no one seemed to care!

Whiskey Mist is terrible! All the women are 18 year old wags after a sugardaddy, all the men are bald 40 somethings letching over the 18 year old wannabe's. The music was terrible, the decor reminds me of dodgy clubs in Vauxhaull, the staff were slow kissarses! Our bill came to over £3,000 (for a tiny table in vip, and two standard bottles of Champagne). Avoid like the plague.

04/02/2010. I just got back from Whisky Mist tonight. There was a lingerie catwalk and burlesque show. Which the club had asked to Playful Promises to put on. I was one of the models. The show went well. Until it turned back into a club. Way over crowded! Very prententious! People barging into you left right and centre! After just doing the show I was furious to find out that the cloakroom girl wouldn't take my coat!. One of the staff pushed the burlesque dancer over as she was collecting her suitcase to move it out of the way. Obviously she wasn't doing it quick enough! Even when I said excuse me politely to walk past no one would move unless I pushed them!. Only one of the guys behind the bar served me and he seemed very nice and polite. The door staff helped me when trying to sort things out after the show.

It's a shame that the clubbers attitude in there stink!. I work in a casino just around the corner from there. I will not recommend it to the costumers or fellow staff. A typical mayfair club. Full of wankers who think they have loads of money. Ponces. And people with no manors. Nearly had a fight with one girl after her mate shoved my friends glass in her face and started butting in. The show went really well. But the punters in there were a bunch of tossers!

I went to this club on the 12/12/09 at 11pm.I went as a guest to the V.I.P bar. This bar was overly crowded and dark with unfriendly staff. I had to fight my way through to make my way to the gents, finding myself my being pushed around. When i finally reached it. I found my self in a dark gloomy place. I found my self in this overly crowded place with a lack of safety. My main concern was that if there was to be a fire there would have been a struggle to get out.

I organised a work group of 50 of us to go here. We'd been organising with them for months to try to ensure that everything went well on the night. What a disaster. The girl that we'd been dealing with was beyond useless - always mixing our booking up with others, and no idea of how to organise anything. When we arrived, she wasn't there and hadn't passed any of our arrangements to the staff who were there. We'd also paid in advance for 3 tables (at a minimum spend of £1500 each!!), but when we turned up we were only given 2 tables. Unbelievable. An absolute disaster. For somewhere that is charging this level of prices (£300+ for bottle of champagne/vodka/bacardi etc), you would hope that they would be capable of organising some of the basics of a group. If you're beautiful, young and loaded, you'll have a good night. Otherwise, steer well clear - they're are much better places to spend your money.

Little pretentious, but overall pretty good.Door Guys: Pretty friendly given some of the people being jerks because they weren't on the guestlist and couldn't get in. WARNING: come early. Walked by at 10:30 there was no one there and the place looked deserted. Went to go have a drink and came back at 11:00PM, and the line was all the way down the street.Drinks: Prices in line par with Mayfair clubs. Becomes a pain to buy drinks when the club gets full though. Bar staff is friendly, but can't comment on their ability as I ordered simpled drinks.

DJ: Good. Had some live percussion the night I went playing with the DJ. Music is typical house.Crowd: Really good. Nice mix of 20's to 30's. Saw about 3 older creepy looking guys. Only other complaint is that the guy to girl ratio was a little high. Best thing is that the people that do go there are not jerks like the typical London night club. (Guess its just something about the atmosphere that encourages the douchebags to go somewhere else.)

Went on halloween night to this club. Club is very nice but doesnt have that 'exclusive' feelabout it so a £15 door charge was a bit excessive.

Anyways decor and atmosphere is very nice people very friendly not stuck up or pretntious.

The ONLY real gripe was the dj the music was shockingly bad as a former DJ i know that the basic rule is to play for the crowd and get them dancing.

At best he had 30% of the crowd dancing he played way too much electro pop and didnt seem to care abou the crowds taste complete ruubbish (if you like to hear good music avoid going on a saturday !!)

Oh and the bouncers were not particularly rude but did tend to shove people out the way when serving or collecting

I came here after leaving Movida as it was full of 17 year olds. Myself and 2 other female friends turned up with 4 male four male colleagues, however the only way we were getting in is if we were to get a table.

My work colleague generously paid for one :-) once inside it was brilliant!! I loved it in there, if anyone has been to Las Vegas that is what it was like in there, the music the vibe everything...the clientele weren't too pretentious and there weren't scantily clad girls loitering around tables (well not as far as I could see) which is normally the norm at London clubs.

I went on a Thursday, so not sure if it is different on a weekend. I shall definitely be returning!

For a native New yorker to say she likes a club in London, it has to be exceptional, and that award goes to Whisky.

They got it right on all levels, just expensive enough to keep out the rif raf..lol by that i mean the broke twenty somethings only looking for a cheap thrill, to djs that make you want to work it on that dance floor.

Service is only surpassed by the staff both physically, those girls on the door, when they smile make even me consider changing my sexual orientation ..lol, and the guys behind the bar well yummy:), But back to the review..

lol they all offer a service which i have yet to fault, although the security at the door, those doormen, just have to much attitude and no people skills, yes they are their to do a job and have to look menacing, but do it with finesse as we are paying customers but the guest list girl( Mary something or another) makes up for it and apologizes for them.

Did i mention the music, well let me tell you again, you will have your feet tapping in seconds, and within minutes you will be helpless as you will be and dancing all night

The door men here are clueless. It's a spectacle beyond belief.

It's hilarious to watch the men from the private club over the street come over to hit on the women in Whisky Mist's line - "look how they're treating you here - do you really want to put up with this? Come over with us!"

I was there on a Scandinavian eve last week. We lined up five minutes to 11 and were among the first in line.

The door men quickly lost control over the two lines (guest, and members) - catering to the people who came up in the middle requesting to be let in before everybody else.

Some hot shot kid was able to pick and choose who he wanted in, picking people at random from the crowds.

The rest of us stood in line in the cold, waiting. At 24:00 and first in the guest line we gave up - what's left of the evening if we were to wait another hour?

Absolutely awful experience - do not even BOTHER trying this place unless you're friends with the door monkeys.

last night we went to whiskey mist and it was appalling. The only celebrity: hermione from Harry potter.

It was a freakshow: 70 year old men with not one but two young girls, rappers, men closely resembling Santa claus sporting red jumpers, aged bankers who surely have golfed with my father swilling dom adorned by sparklers.

I expected centaurs, minotaurs, and gnomes around every corner. Britney spears' circus album was based on whiskey mist. My friends and I we're the most palatable women: au natural instead of bowling balls for breasts and lips that could serve as flotation devices.

We'll be sticking to Mahiki.

Nothing special, but the crowd is pretty decent and a good option for mid-week partying in the Mayfair area. My personal experience with the door people is mixed.

During LFW they were acting grumpy, and the lady doing guestlist seemed to be on her worst imaginable mood and refused us entry even though we've been regulars for about a year now.

Sharpen up guys, not the way to treat loyal patrons - especially in the current economy!

Horrible horrible place!! This people think they're so exclusive that no one gets in...I think it's just cool for them to have a big queue at the entrance and let the dumb bouncers to play their favourite "I have the power" game.

I was on the guestlist last night for a fashion show and after half an hour of queuing they told us "full capacity reached, guest list closed". I mean, what the hell was that?! A glamourous place is not supposed to treat customers this way, it was just very rude. I strongly advice a manners improvement!

Rubbish. It is fantastic if you like smirking bouncers who find their own incompetence highly amusing, but I don't. Unless you are looking to impress someone by hanging out somewhere which gets too much tabloid press coverage, you would, in all seriousness, be hard pressed to find anywhere less worthwhile.
