Amazing addition to the Angel bar scene. Really enjoyed the Thai food and the cocktails. Atmosphere is very chilled and great music too. Will be returning for the crispy duck!
Happen to come by this latest additon on Upper St, wow what a place!!!Really nice decor, music drinks and very friendly staff. I dont know what the last reviewer is talking about because me and my friends felt very comforable (6 girls) at this venue unlike the one down the road. The place was packed had very nice music and people were dancing away until close, as were my friends and I ;)I recommend this place we sure will be back again to have your yummy cocktails, also i hear they do Thai food yummmmm.
I went to this bar knowing nothing about it after being invited to a 'launch night' over facebook - I was 'selected' along with just 200 others. I was very excited for the night and got lots of friends pumped for it too - I spoke to a very helpful person online who sorted me guest list for me and 10 friends and answered all my questions. Descriptions made the bar sound fantastical, fulll of cool still walkers, bongo drums, and most importantly, a lot of fun...What I found was:A guy playing some drums outside of the venue and one half naked girl playing with some fire. Two people at the door who asked if we were on guest list, to which I replied yes, but they had no record of our name even though I'd been sorting it all week with them. When I tried to show them on my phone they wouldn't look, were rude and demanded money. The bar was DEAD (at 11.30pm), the clientele and staff were equally as lifeless. There was about 50 people in, in total and no one looked like they were having a good time but instead just trying to impress equally dull and pretentious people. Awful music. We decided to queue for one drink but after 10 minutes of waiting (with about 2 other people at the bar) and an uninspired menu, we went to sit down and discuss whether the fact we'd each paid to get meant it was worth staying...we decided it was not, but why not have one drink before we go. As I turned around to walk to the bar we were being stared at by two guys who looked pissed off and miserable - they told us that the area we were sitting on was reserved. I asked why there was not a reservation sign on the table, as there was on the seperate one next to us, they said - the other sign counts for both. I said that was not clear at all, and why didn't they put a reserved sign on our table. They had no answer for this but instead decided to keep thuggishly telling us to move and attempting to humiliate us.Worst bar I've ever been to in the London. I've lived in London my whole
Fantastic place with great thai food and exotic cocktails, and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this!
