My first experiance of yates was saturday just gone and to tell you the truth it was disgusting. Where should i begin well got to the door and was approached by the bouncers and the customer service was terrible attitude and no manners. The manager came out and he was not any better its a shambles the management included he aint got a clue he just wants your fiver entrance. Most of the customers are 17 and 18 year olds some even looked 16 so if you are under 18 this is a place for you and the toilets need a revamp and a good clean me personally i wont be going back there in a hurry infact i wont be going back there again.

Vastly over-rated. Basically this is great if you don't mind £4 a pint, and the selection of beer is poor (lager only) and served in plastic glasses. I was there on a Saturday and it was far to noisy to conduct even a simple conversation. Worse by 9pm the toilets were unfit for use - awash with goodness knows what. Best avoided.

So much fun, I visited Yates on a ladies night out, amazing night, I went on a Thursday night and it was a girl's night and lucky to, cocktail were 2-4-1 and wine was only £7 a bottle. Music was fun, staff were friendly and cocktails tasted amazing and were beautifully presented. Big thumbs up!!!

Yates's Leicester Square is one of my favourite places to go on a night out.
The atmosphere is always great. They play a very mixed selection of music so everyone is happy. The drink prices are the cheapest around and the staff are always helpful, friendly and fun loving.
The food is good, has everything you could want.

Absolutely busy, reasonable prices, no watery spirits, every kind of dance, pop and hip-hop, reggae, etc. Music! Lovely barista team and bouncers. And if you arrive before around 8 o'clock there is no entrance fee. I have never had any problem at that place, friendly people, every kind of nations. Favourite place for night out or for A dinner or all together!:)

Anybody who goes to a Yates's expecting anything except sweat, leering drunkards and Karma Sutra dancing, needs a reality check. This is the reason for the antipodean clientele, as most David Hockney Ice Cream Freezers and Twist and Twirls know better than to submerge themselves in this pit of sleaze. We all know this; the positive side to Yates's is if you're out looking for a good laugh centred around cheap alcohol before heading off somewhere else (for a shower perhaps?), then it's ideal.

Cheesy music, shots for a pound and people who are so scummy that they don't care what kind of daft stunts you pull once inebriated. The door staff were obviously Yates's frequenters in their youth. Scarred faces that only a mother could love, inflated egos and limited vocabulary, presumably from the abundance of white lightening consumed in adolescence. Ultimately, this chain of bars is like your childhood potty; you look back with fondness at the sh*t that's gone down there, but you grow out of it eventually.

Would not recommend this bar at all.

We had been out for a nice meal with another couple and were looking to have a nice few drinks before heading home.

On asking the doorman how much it was for entry he replied very agressively.

We would not recommend this bar at all as it is not a safe place and the staff are arrogant & rude. It needs to be closed down.

Its a Yates, so you know what you're going to get. Cheap drinks, average music and lots of people in the 17-21 bracket.

Shame then that the place is full of dodgy looking men gawping at the dancefloor. Giving off a distinctly unpleasent vibe.

very nice staff though, calm and happy.
music is pop, rnb,
good chance too hook up ...
a lot of different ppl there, students, builders, business, tourists, countrymen, easy, etc

there is a cloakroom actually, just behind the dancefloor and it has space for about 1000 coats - the reason why everyone is dancing wearing coats is because they are too tight to pay £1 to avoid sweating and stinking the dancefloor out.......

Small Place, becomes over crowded.Same old tracks over & over , so i have stopped going there. About a 2-3 months ago , drinks & bar service was fine.Quantity of drinks was fine as compared with Metra where everything is expensive and short of quantity too.
Anyways , not a bad place to visit , Yates.

Yates's Wine Lodge is a wonderful bar/club! The waiters are hot and if you get in with the bouncers they will treat you like queens. brings in people of all different ages and backgrounds. From pretty Americans to hot pole dancers, Yates's Wine Lodgewill keep you wanting to go back. If you know how to dance and enjoy rap music you will have a ball!

Dont even bother going to Yates's Wine Lodge! The bouncers think they are something special and are so rude!

You wait ages to get served at the bar and the DJ at Yates's Wine Lodge does more talking than playing actual music!

Better never come to Yates's Wine Lodge at all, to keep your impressions of London good.
The bouncers at Yates's are very rude, and they act like true bandits.

You will find a lot of better places near Covent Garden with friendly staff.

Ugh. Why anyone would go to central London with all its varied bars and pubs yet end up in Yates's is beyond me. It's like any other Yates's you'll find in suburban towns, but worse. Full of desperate 20 somethings out on the pull who've come to London hoping to snare some fantastically good looking and "up for it" partner.

If this is your scene, then by all means visit this place and keep going, so the rest of us will know to avoid you.

Yates's Wine Lodge is a banging bar! The drinks are reasonably priced, the music is commercial RnB and pop and it's open till 1am on a Saturday night. A crowd of about early 20 year olds with a good ratio of men to women and the bar staff at Yates's Wine Lodge are really friendly. Definitely recommended!

I went to Yates's Wine Lodge in Leicester Square over the Xmas period for a work's Christmas lunch with about 7 others and we didn't rate it at all. The service was very bad, people were walking in off the street and getting served before us and we had pre-booked a table and pre-ordered what we were having off the menu. We are not impressed at all and it has put us off going back!
