Very cool historic pub.

Highlights are the catacomb style cellar bar and the high class members club style first floor bar.

A very special pub.

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese can be a bit of a tourist trap, but if you want a good pub lunch in the heart of Fleet Street, the English food is surprisingly good and the service efficient.

I often take clients to Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, not because they are not worth better but just to soak up the atmosphere. I recommend it to everyone reading Viewlondon.

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese is a very sound pub, in every respect. Usually crowded, but at this time of year the extra body heat is relatively welcome.

Nooks, crannies, beer... it all adds up to some historical-novel-style bodice ripping, name-bismirchin' and intrigue (or so you can imagine as you have a swift half with the girls from the office).

I find it even nicer now that the Cock Tavern up the road has been turned cruddy by some wannabe Linda Barkers from the so-called "Original Pub Company". The cheesy one fights on proving maturity usually wins out!
