i went a couple of months and had a great time! the music is highly varied from room to room and the drinks aren't expensive, entry is reasonable price. you could easily have a good time in this place with only £20 in your pocket!

I had no intension of liking this place. As a proper Londoner I always thought Leicester sq nightclubs were pricey tourist pits. I’ve also become a little snobby of late liking cocktail joints and gastropubs. But this is the place I’ve been longing for, somewhere cheap, cheerful, fun, unpretentious and somewhere to just be yourself. Staff all friendly and genuine, drinks were about £2.50 each and somehow we got in for free after no queuing at 11pm. Music was very cheesy, a great place for a midweek blow out. Next time you long for a big night out with no pretension, head to this place.

a group of us girls went to zoo bar the saturday just gone, and i have to say it was one of the easiest club nights iv ever had in london! and iv been to a few in my time. I organised my friends 21st there, and getting on guestlist and booking a booth was made so simple. Easy to find so there was no walking around once we got off the train. We walked right in as we booked a booth, so there was no queing wat so ever. Even if u didnt book a booth, the que wasnt too long, but i defo adivce people to book seating as it is free. The bouncers were all friendly, the music was a great mix, and the service at the bar was very quick. There was one or two guys who tried it but then they would with 7 feamles out on there own, but wen we said go away they did so they were easy to get rid off. Overall the drinks were flowing and we boogayed the night away.

Visited on Saturday 5th July with my girlfriend. Same here as for Tiger Tiger I'm afraid - excellent venue - good staff - minimal wait (got there around 1 i think) - good mix of people - good prices (considerin' it's a london club) - prime location - Duff Sounds!! There was a moment when it seemed the DJ was employing some skill but I suspect he was playing someone else's mix.

If most of your CD collection's titles start with, 'Now that's what I call...' then maybe you'll like this place - for the discerning party lover, keep looking!

I was at zoo to watch the euro & the buzz in the place was good. Then to top it off the drinks prices were so good druing the week as the student night prices kicked in so we all stayed on dancing the night away.
thanks for the great night!

I was at zoobar on saturday night & i had so much fun. You all winge about being groped & grabbed by all the sleazy men, but have you been anywhere else as it happens all the time wherever you are, in a different club or even anywhere in the world.. Stop winging....
Also i put my stuff in the cloakroom all the time & have never had a problem. All you have to do is keep your cloakroom ticket in a safe place or else you may have to wait till the end of the night. Which i think is fine as they have so many jackets in there it must be so hard for them to find someones who doesnt have their ticket.
I do love zoo bar & go there on a regular basis just to have fun.

Went to zoo bar on wednesday night with a couple of mates, Had an amazing time, even had a little pole dance before the end of the night, 75% are guys all crammed in, but friendly staff, although they did loose 2 of my mates jackets in the cloak room at the end of the night which meant they didnt have any money or house keys! would like to go again but will be a bit more weary about leaving items in the cloakroom as it wasnt dealt with very professionally.

THIS PLACE CERTAINLY LIVES UP TO ITS NAME. IT WAS LIKE BEING IN A CAGE WITH A LOAD OF DISGRUNTLED ZOO ANIMALS. THE DOOR STAFF WERE NICE ENOUGH AND EVEN LAUGHED AT MY RELIEF TO GET OUT OF THERE. THE MUSIC WAS CHEESY BULL AND IT TOOK AGES TO GET SERVED. SOME OF THE BAR STAFF WERE SO RUDE, NOT ALL! IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO GO AND YOU ARE NOT PARTIAL TO BEING GROPED, GRABBED, AND SNEERED AT BY ODD BODS, THEN DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. IT DIDN'T SMELL TOO GOOD EITHER.

I went to zoo the other day & had so much fun. It's so good to find a place to go & just have fun & be myself. The drinks are reasonable & staff are really friendly & look to enjoy themselves aswell. I would suggest using the cloakroom as then you dont have to worry about your stuff. I would reccommend zoo to anyone who just wants to enjoy a good night out!
Oh also happy our is great as its from 5pm - 7:30pm. see you soon zoo!

Zoo Bar is pretty average, if your in an equal group and your up for a good night you will have a good time! However if you go there expecting to be impressed you will be disappointed. There is a bar upstairs and a club downstairs. The club is quite big, it has a podium with a pole for girls to get down and dirty on, a raised balcony area to dance over looking the dancefloor and a square bar which you can get too from all sides. The music is generally good and there are always drink deals on, but its packed full of guys, there are literally no girls in this place, they will let anyone in!

sat 5th january down for a first night out in london as a mature couple late 20's and early 40's used to local clubbing in bonny scotland, recommended covent garden and leicester square decided the latter as it was convenient for the night bus home, went out for a lovely meal nearby then went walking around having a look round th clubs many of whih the atmosphere outside was a little off putting and in many cases looked like a school playground on walking past the zoo there seemed to be a mixed crowd and friendly looking bouncers!!! as we still call them and yes they were very polite and friendly. the time was now about 12.am and we waited little more than a minute to get in went downstairs first put ur jackets in and had a great time dancing away to house/dance music the music was really good, not heavy rave and the dj was certainly enjoying himself not full of it and there was certainly a relaxed atmosphere No look at me's just peeps having a good time, there was one minor moan not alot of security inside its not my idea of fun to have a guy next to you on a not so very busy dancefloor with his hands down his female companions nickers, by 1:30 we decided to head upstairs where the music was a little more mixed genre and the atmosphere the same a good laugh we stayed there until about 2am then left to catch the night bus and a very pleasant end to our night. would definately recomend to our friends if we were back in london as it wasnt too pricey either for two of us our average round was £8 which is only about £2 more than up home and the £10 entry fee reflected that of up here too

It's 9pm and me and a couple of mates are out celebrate his 22. Zoo barbeen thre ages ago in afternoon. So Friday night think cannot be to bad.
Bouncer"are you on the guest list"no. -He leads us round the to cue at the other side- we should have left at this point.
Inourbest atire got in but 9.10 and charge us £7 each.bar staff friendly drink prices well same as usual. The crowd at this time sad looking- good time to chatto people starting off the night. But a tourist bar and the guys who have startedearly are here to.

The decor is nice, but equally cheap, fairy lights and cloth hanging from the ceiling, nice setup, but for £7 and £4 pint and plastic glasses, dont bother dressing up too much.

Down stairs is the club part, people head down early all music played by dj's is well know pop-rnb-house. A nice layout. The crowd smartened up later in the evening but its a super pretentious place- so go if you like that sor of thing.
Might try it again but I rather go and see a major DJ in a major club- than the leicster sq. equivelant of Oceana for that money.

We went to the Zoo Bar last Tuesday to take advantage of the drink specials (£1 shots) and we're suitably impressed. The crowd is friendly and cool and the bar itself is well laid out. The music varies from room to room but was a mixture of hip-hop (some of which was a tad dated) and dance. However, the DJ did a good job of managing the crowd and kept up the part atmosphere.

The bouncers were welcoming at the door but turned into coat-pile hunters once we got inside. Apparently you're not allowed to put your coat on a chair, a stool or a table...basically anywhere but the cloakroom. This all seemed a bit silly and did put a slight dampner on what otherwise been a great night out.

Overall, we had a pretty good time. Zoo Bar isn't anything special but is ahead of the competition in the Leicester Square/Covent Garden area.

The Zoo Bar was brilliant. We went as a group of mixed ages and every one had a fab time. It has changed hands since a lot of the reveiws were written on this site and has changed for the better.

You have a choice of what music you listen to according to which bar you are in and as for the bouncers and other staff they couldn't have been nicer. And people just have to remember they are doing their job. Overall it was a fantastic, cheap night out and I would definitely go back.

ZOO Bar and Club has the right name! It's for animals this club! I went twice in this club. The first time was to try this club and it was not great. There were a lot of wannabe gangsters, let's say too many of them and the night wasn't great. The girls in there were shy or too rude even though I am a good looking guy!

The second time I tried to go was yesterday night. My friend forced me to go because they wanted to try this club and we queued up and the rude bouncers did not let us in because we were three guys! Whats wrong with all these nightclubs? Can't they get girls to come to their clubs?

My conclusion is, don't go to Zoo Bar and Club because they don't have many women inside, and they are desperate for customers to bring in girls.

My purse was stolen while I was on the dance floor at Zoo Bar and Club. Be very careful about the bumping while you are dancing, even if you have your bag on your shoulder.

Plus the music at Zoo Bar and Club was also very repetitive. A place not to go again.

Zoo Bar and Club is a life time experience I will never forget. It was so good that I danced outside the club because the bouncer's wouldn't let me in. What is wrong with Zoo Bar? I think they and a lot of other clubs around Leicster Square have lost the plot of clubbing.

lubbing is not about going in with a man and a lady to match him, because then we rather make a club for partners only. Clubbing is all about going in there, meeting women, dancing, drinking and getting wasted. So to my knowledge Zoo Bar and Club sucks and so do the bouncers.

I thoroughly enjoyed my girls night out at Zoo Bar and Club on Saturday night. The bouncers were welcoming, the vibe was great. There were a lot of women on their hen nights though, and not just one group of them. It would've been more fun if there was an even number of guys to girls.

I was pleasently surprised at the reasonable price of the drinks at Zoo Bar for a club in Leicester Square. The music was also good.

A group of 9 of us out on a hen night visited the Zoo Bar and Club on Saturday night. While the downstairs music wasn't our scene, the upstairs bar more than made up for it. It had a fantastic atmosphere, with everyone in good spirits.

Zoo Bar and Club Could do with perhaps being a bit bigger upstairs but otherwise 10/10.

Went to Zoo Bar and Club to watch the footie then returned for the evening, as I came to London for my Hen Night. It was amazing, the staff and door staff were so good to us, and the music was typical old school, banging tunes. Zoo Bar and Club was one of the highlights of my weekend.

Zoo Bar and Club, what can I say? I don’t acre what anyone says, Zoo Bar and Club is the place to be on a Wednesday night. It’s a little small but the good music and the nice DJs make up for it. If your up for non-stop RnB, hip hop and reggae then go to Zoo on a Wednesday. If you’re into your Indian music, then go on a Monday.

I went to Zoo Bar and Club with two friends on Thursday night. We were in London for one of my friend's 18th birthday and we wanted a really good night out. As soon as we got to Leicester Square we were mobbed by people trying to get us in their clubs.

We walked past the queue at Zoo and got in for a fiver each, with my friend getting in free as it was her birthday. Drinks were normal prices, OK for London. The music was good, stuff you can have a dance to, but there were loads of sleazy guys. You couldn't have a dance without some disgusting guy trying to grind up against you or just hanging about staring.

It was American Night at Zoo and there were lots of American tourists, however they were all extremely friendly and not at all sleazy. I had a good night at Zoo Bar and Club and didn't encounter the expensive drinks or rude staff. Bouncers are fine if you smile and flirt a bit. I would recommend Zoo, but if you are a girl only go if you don't mind lots of male attention!

I went to Zoo Bar with a couple of mates for an 18th birthday, thought the place itself was pretty class and the cocktails were ace, expensive but not OTT. The downstairs club was OK too, though my mates failed to pull some birds who ran off with American tourists. Zoo Bar was full of tourist blokes by the end of the night but all in all it was pretty banging!

I went to the Zoo Bar and Club in November 2005. It was my last night in London before I got married and my friends decided to treat me - we were three guys and three girls from work.

We were enjoying ourselves and were in a corner having fun when suddenly a stranger came along and misbehaved with one of the girls in our group. My friend was angry but did not confront and we regrouped ourselves. During our discussion with each other, the staff from Zoo Bar came and threw us out in a very, very disrespectful way. I am not recommending the Zoo Bar and Club to anyone ever.

Went to Zoo on the 24th Feb and it was not over priced, which is good. Having said that the dress code was non-existent which would go with a ten pound entry fee I suppose - not fancy but also not pretentious which I like. I don't think I'll be returning to Zoo though as I like to go to a club where the punters have made a bit of an effort.

Zoo Bar and Club was amazing. At first, I was afraid of the enormous amount of touchy guys, but the club was great for singles. A girl can have the pick of the litter.

The bottom and top dance floors were lively with great music selections, and me and all my friends danced on the bar for half the night.

I went to Zoo Bar and Club with a group of 14 people for my friend's birthday, and he had the time of his life. We had no problem getting in, the queue was only about five minutes. we ended the night with me and 7 of my friends doing the can-can to New York New York, which I highly enjoyed because I am a native New Yorker.

I would highly recommend Zoo Bar and Club for anybody who is planning to have an energetic, action-packed night while visiting London. One of my favourite clubs.

Ok, not quite sure where to start!
I've been a regular at Zoo Bar and Club for absolutely ages and up until recently, always thought it was great. The music upstairs, especially on a Friday, is always a lot better than the club downstairs as they do play too much trancey stuff. It does get way too crowded and very, very hot (especially upstairs) as there doesn't seem to be any air conditioning. As with any club you go to in London, you do have to watch your personal belongings at Zoo Bar and Club, as they do have a tendency to end up in other peoples pockets if you are not careful. The door staff are fantastic, especially Paul and Alan. It's a shame Zoo Bar and Club has gone downhill as it was always such a great place.

I went to Zoo Bar and Club on a Saturday and it was quite a good night out. The drinks are really expensive though and it attracts quite a lot of tourists but I suppose that's the same everywhere in London! The bouncers are really good and help you out when you have several men stalking you! The bar upstairs is wicked but the club downstairs plays too much trance. However, if you've got a crowd of great mates that are up for anything, Zoo Bar and Club can be a great night out.

I went to Zoo Bar and Club last night (Saturday) for a 20th birthday and it was shockingly poor, the only good thing was my friends and the staff. The place was packed with attitude and there was no room to dance or move your arm to take a sip/down your drink. Within 5 minutes of entering the club, one of our party members had their purse taken and when it was found £30 was missing. The music was good in parts however, odd bits of dodginess crept in. I doubt I'll be returning.

Got to say that this night at Zoo is one of the only nights worth going into London for on a Wednesday, mostly because the music has quality stamped all over it and also because of the performers - breakdancers who can actually breakdance. The crowd's good and up for it.

If you're under 19, looking to get drunk and dance tragically to bad chart music, then Zoo Bar is most definitely the place for you. Likewise if you're over 19 and looking for a place to drain your wallet and try your patience. Otherwise, there are more grown-up establishments nearby that you have a much better chance of escaping from without being drenched in the sweat of countless groping tossers.
