This has to be the worst run restaurant I have ever dealt with in London. They took a booking for my wife and I and various parents for boxing day through their online system. When we went on boxing day they were closed and we were left trying to find somewhere open at the last minute. It is appalling that they didn't call to say that they they couldn't fulfill the reservation, they had both my email address and phone number. When I contacted them to complain they were equally sloppy. All I got was some sophistry on a voicemail and when I returned the call my message wasn't passed on and my call wasn't returned as I had requested. Really pathetic. The Rivington is very well run and is consistently fantastic, I would recommend there or the Spread Eagle as an alternative.

We visited the new Sammy Ofer wing at the museum last weekend and stopped for coffee in the new café there (actually very good coffee which, despite being extremely crowded was served swiftly and professionally, once we understood how to order and pay). While we sat outside chatting to the table next to us we were approached by a softly spoken Irish chap and invited to take a look at their new brasserie on the rooftop.

We wandered up and were so charmed by the genuine welcome we received that we instantly decided to give it a go and stayed for lunch. I had the best asparagus risotto I have ever been served, and I pride myself in my own recipe, and my partner had a baby chicken dish with green beans that we both thought delicious. We chatted to our waitress about the new opening, the owners and their hopes to be one of the best places to eat in Greenwich and were genuinely impressed with their intentions –she was clearly proud of her new position.

We clearly had a quite different experience to the previous review. Perhaps they had a few problems in the opening days (we were told they had been open for just a week when we visited) so maybe it was a little unfairly judged given it was such early days. I certainly want to congratulate them for our perfect Sunday and think we should encourage such sincere efforts to bring good food and service to our little pocket of beauty in SE London!

Really great space - intimate yet feels open and part of the park. My food was very tasty and the service was great. Not the busiest when we visited but would imagine the atmosphere would be really good when its full. Still felt very new (think it was week 2 when I visited!) but overall a great addition to Greenwich. Will def pop back to try the cocktails on those wonderful outdoor deck chairs! Oh and my other half says she'll be back to work through the wine list which apparently was very good!

Mediocre food, slow and disparate service due to event going on elsewhere (not mentioned when we booked). menu very different to online sample. Boring, not particularly seasonal (their key selling point!), ungenerous. Atmosphere quite bleak in evening. Difficult to get to after museum closes. Wouldn't recommend, you can def get better fare in London for this money.
