This used to be a firm favourite of ours and we have eaten here many times over the last few years.

However, I'm sad to say that standards are slipping, mostly due to the service as opposed to the food itself. Friends of ours were given half pint glasses for wine(?) and the wait for food has been steadily been getting longer and longer over a period of time.

The prices have also taken a hike in recent times, particularly on the main courses and whilst it's still undoubtedly very cheap for a meal out with friends, there are several other establishments in the area that offer the same high standard of food with better service and prices.

When the bill arrived, our waiter informed us that we would incur charges if we wanted to pay by card as opposed to cash! There were quite a few of us in our group but some were already paying cash and at £25 per head, I didn't personally think a charge per transaction was warranted. We did pay in cash but left no tip and won't be returning anytime soon.

Mouthwatering food, best Turkish restaurant in town in my opinion.
