I have never put a review on a site before but this venue truly deserves it. I was organising my boyfriends surprise 30th birthday and the event organiser was great from the start to the end giving suggestions and ensuring every aspect from the cake , to the surprise was perfect. Thank you to all the team who worked really hard and nothing we requested was a problem. We had a fantastic time and will defanitly be rebooking for parties.
we had a great night and had nothing but good feedback from people. The staff service was excellant and highly efficient. the food was brilliant and all our needs were both met and exceeded.
well what can i say about this venue i was at an event a few days ago and wow what an experience, the food was absolutely fantastic with the freshest of quality (being a chef myself ) i am very critical of other chefs but the food was superb 10 out of 10 for that. the service of the staff and the owner lisa was amazing they were all very attentive and we were never without, and the ambience of the night made the experience very enjoyable which i hope to be repeating very soon. if you have an event or just want a good night out please consider this place the service is excellent and it is great value for money
I recently had the misfortune of attending an event at this venue. This venue has had no money spent on it in years, there are so many reviews on similar websites talking about how great it is and they all have the same spelling mistakes so I believe the owners have written them, why one happy punter would decide to post their glowing comment to ten websites i dont know! The toilet did not have a light bulb and was filthy (that was when we arrived), the staff where rude, the food was unimaginative (frozen) the smell inside was stale and off putting, there is no air conditioning in the private room, there is also only ONE toilet to service the private hire room. You can imagine what this was like with 80 people. I cannot tell you how bad this establishment is and can only advise you not to consider it for any event you may be planning. It is not fit for purpose.
Please Please Please, avoid this place. Dirty, un-hygienic, unhealthy bargain sourced fried food, in the worst venue imaginable. I attended an event here a few months ago and could not believe a venue like this still exists in 2011. It is like something from Bodrum in the 80's. The venue hire room has only 1 dirty toilet for all the guests. Everything in this venue screams cheap, including the staff. Avoid like the plague... There are so many better places than this. Please do a little more research before you consider it.
I went here for my 30th birthday party last month which was super. had a fantastic night. The canapes and drinks were spot on and was able to use my ipod through there system which was great. staff really friendly and will be back in the summer for BBQs on the roof. Thanks 26 for a great evening.
Went here on the opening with friends as recently opened after refurbs. fantastic surroundings and really friendly staff.
There is a new chef and the food was fantastic. We went for the 2 course lunch and at £7.90 was amazed at the selection, portions and quality of the food. great variety selection of food.
There is a heated roof terrace where they have BBQs and the views overlooking smithfields is awesome.
its a great atmosphere and everyone very friendly.
Very reasonable prices and looking forward to the evening entertainment. Would definitely recommend.
I went to 26smithfield with five girlfriends in January for a birthday night out. food was fantastic, staff really friendly and great atmosphere. one friend is vegan and was given an alternative meal not on the menu with no hassle. great evening.
was there in january bringing 8 clients. fantastic food venue great and staff very friendly.
I had a wonderful time here with my husband. The food was excellent and the service tip top.
