We had a table booked here on Saturday. I booked this a while back as I like the sound of it and it looked nice. First impressions were good, it was busy and a good ambiance....our table was at 9:30pm which we arrived on time. We were shown to our table and asked if we would like any water....that's where the service then started to go down hill. We waited over 25 minutes for them to take our drinks order, which we had to ask for. Our food order was then taken and it was 1 hour and 10 minutes before this arrived, which turned out to be our Mains! this then sat on a tray for nearly 10 minutes. After which we asked them to serve this rather than wait for our Starters as we were hungry and had been waiting a very long time. The food was gorgeous but the overall mess up of the order had left us with a sour taste in our mouths. We had cheese and biscuits for dessert which was a poor selection of Italian cheeses and four biscuits. I would not return to this place and I would not recommend it to anyone, they are understaffed and there is no communication between the staff. It could be a great place as it is very bustly and lovely food but the service is appalling. You would think they would be trying much harder now that Jason Atherton's Pollen Street Social has opened directly opposite...I wish we had gone there instead!!

We Dined at 5 Pollen Street last Saturday and I can only say "wow" the room is one of the most stunning dinning rooms in London and the food was everything I expected having eaten at the Halkin in the days when Cavallini was being awarded his Michelin star. The service was good and will only get better as the young waiting staff learn. I have already booked my next dinner :)
