Visited Aangan last night with 2 other friends. The restaurant was packed, was surprised being as it was wednesday. Had the usual - chicken tikka, lamb chops and one house special - chatpata wings. Extremely please - with taste and freshness. We also had Lamb roganjosh, chicken jalfrezi and prawn aubergine. We are extremely pleased with the food and the service. Most surprisingly - no service charge! So we had a wonderful evening after a long time in a indian restaurant.

We are great fans of Chef Deepak and his food has become our favourite Indian food. We're really happy that he has opened his own restaurant now in Richmond.
At Aangan, Deepak offers a great combination of classic and modern Indian. Deepak's approach to cooking is creative and traditional at the same time. The Lamb curry that he has added to the new menu, is to die for. And the crunchy paneer starter and the Aaloo-Saag is finger-licking good. Just check out Aangan, and you'll agree with me :)

Chef Deepak is no longer in Aangan. That is a shame as the quality of the cusine has gone down. We were surprised when we went to the restaurant in Richmond on Saturday 12 February 2011.
We were told that Chef Deepak had moved to Liverpool.
Service was poor and the standard of food was nowhere as nice when chef Deepak was there himself.
Please come back Chef. Were are you?
Also note that the prices on the menu were much higher than those on the website menu. Why?
