Abbevilles is a great restaurant run by people with mental health problems or learning difficulties. The menu is very varied and all fresh ingredients were used.


Prices are very low, especially for the quality and presentation of food. Abbevilles is only open at lunch time from Monday to Friday but has a very nice outdoor seating area in the summer. They also do outside catering for offices and other events. The restautant is part of The First Step Trust.


Abbevilles is a great restaurant and a very good cause. Don't expect West End service but the staff are very nice, friendly and try their best.

I’d heard good things about Abbeville’s from friends and decided to give it a try as they’d said it was reasonably priced. I wasn’t disappointed – mains were around the £6 mark and included dishes such as gravalax and grilled tuna. Some dishes were better than others, but the service was friendly and the Abbeville’s staff are part of a scheme to give the mentally challenged a chance to work in the restaurant management. Keep up the good work Abbeville’s!
