Adams cafe is definitely a place to go back to. The food was delightful - tagines were fabulous.

The waiting staff attentive thought not overly pushy and as we were a group of girls taking advantage of the byo option we were left to our own devices.

The selection on the menu was appropriate and set menu options were perfect value for money.

Lots of seafood at this Tunisian eaterie, but lots of veggie options for pacifists too. More of a bistro than a café, Adam’s Café is cheap enough and they’ll happily welcome groups and kids. I recommend the mullet at Adam’s Café – an exotic option for those who are used to boring old cod and chips.

My wife and I ate at Adam's Cafe last Saturday and enjoyed a two course meal. It was difficult to decide from the fair range of starters but we settled for a brik a l'oeuf and grilled merguez as a starter. I then had fish cous cous and my wife had a tagine dish. This was washed down with a good bottle of North African wine, and rounded off with the best Arabic coffee I have tasted in ages.

The food is plentiful and unusual but two other things stand out from the evening.

1) The attention to detail. (Olives and pickled vegetables to pick at before the starter is served. Small meat balls served with harisa sauce, and bread which has a home-made character - maybe it is.)

2) The number of people who were clearly regulars, judging by the way they were greeted as they arrived.

Definitely worth a return visit.
