We used to love this restaurant but will not be back after tonight.
We were left waiting for ten minutes to enter the restaurant after our reservation time despite the fact they had many empty tables. To make matters worse, it was over an hour before they brought us a requested bottle of water despite several reminders. Finally, they forgot to serve our main course and did not have the courtesy to offer anything but an insincere apology. The food is excellent, but at these prices the service should match it.

Al Hamra didn't live up to its expectations as I fell in a puddle of sick at the main doors.

Al Hamra is the only place I know that serves lamb’s testicles but there must be a market for them, as the staff claim they sell like hot cakes. Can’t say I sampled them myself, but the dishes I did try were spot-on. Unfortunately there’s a minimum spend of around twenty quid per person – so Al Hamar isn’t so great for light eaters.
