This is one of the best Indian restaurants in the UK, I have dined here for over 30years, any restaurant that has been in business for that many years has to be good. The food is simply exquisite and I've never been disappointed.

I ended up in this restaurant as the restaurant next door was busy and I didn't make a reservation. The complimentary soup was tasty and of a generous portion. However, the starters were appalling....the salmon tikka was burnt and the samosa was tiny and cut into four pathetic little bits....never have I paid a fiver for one samosa. I wouldn't have minded but it was bland and packed with cold veg. The main was just as bad-our mushroom and fish dish was supposed to have fragrant hot spices....to our dismay, they both arrived in what could only be described as tomato soup! Quite possibly the worst un-authentic Indian I've ever had.

AAnarkali has absolutely fantastic food and service. It is just the best Indian food! I have been going to this restaurant on and off for the past 20 years and although there have been others, nothing compares to Anarkali.

I took my girlfriend to treat indian meal at Anarkali, Hammersmith. The service is amazing. I have never before seen waiters available at a glance if need be yet discreet. No need to try gestures to get their attention. Food at Anarkali was good too. I would recommened anyone.

Be very careful if you order food delivered from this restaurant. The quality is mediocre and the customer service appalling. I ordered a delivery at 7:30pm on a Sunday. The food arrived an hour and a half later: when I complained that the delay was unacceptable and asked what they would do about it the delivery man walked away - with our food!


I had been a regular customer and was astounded when I contacted the restaurant to discover that it was the owner who had walked away in a teenage tantrum.
If you are hungry then there are many better restaurants to try in Hammersmith!
