We had a lovely evening here. Having lived in Greece for years, I am a good judge of authentic Greek food and Andy's didn't disappoint.
The starters were delicious - we had tzatziki, spanakopita, houmous, feta, taramasalata with lots of bread. We then had kleftiko, which was excellent. The vegetarian choices were many and my daughter loved her saganaki!
Petros was so welcoming - nothing was too much trouble for him and he gave us lots of little extra things to try. He even opened up the lovely outdoor garden for us - I can imagine on a warm evening this area would be perfect to sit in and enjoy a meal.
The restaurant is unpretentious and I did feel we had found a little piece of Greece in Camden!
We ate very well and had very good value for money - the total bill for 3 people was £61 (including wine and coffee)
I shall recommend Andy's to anyone who loves eating Greek food and wants a memorable evening

My husband and I have been going to Andy's for a good ten to fifteen years (him fifteen, me ten). It's where we go when we have something to celebrate - our engagement, graduations, birthdays and even a hen party. The food is always excellent and well priced (the menu has gone up twice in ten years). If you order any of the special platters you'll get about 3-4 courses for £15 per head. The kleftiko is to die for and perfectly described in an earlier review, it really does melt in the mouth. The dips are homemade and served with piping hot Greek bread (the taramasalata is particularly creamy). The dessert platter served with fresh fruit and a selection of home made baklava never lets you down and is the perfect finish to what is always a delicious meal. However, the best thing about Andy's is it's atmosphere - it is unpretentious, friendly and relaxed. It's owner will go out of his way to accommodate you and to make you feel welcome; go there more than twice and you will be treated like a long lost friend. I really cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Andy's Taverna is an excellent Greek restaurant. The owner is a very pleasant and welcoming person. The portions, both starters and main courses, were big and definitely not overpriced.

Now the food: wide beans and artichokes with a splash of olive oil and chopped onion was simple and delicious. Stuffed vine leaves had an interesting sauce. The lamb kleftiko at Andy's Taverna was one of the best I had in my life. Huge portion, the meat was melting, perfect seasoning with spices and sauce incredients perfectly blending.

Definitely going back and telling all my friends about it.

Andy's Taverna used to be an excellent restaurant when run by the previous owner. Since the new owner took over approx 18 months ago, 4 valued members of staff (including the two chefs) have now gone. To say that the food has gone downhill since is an understatement. I had been visiting Andy's Taverna for about 15 years and it's sad to such a decline.

Sloppy houmous and tara, and the main dishes fare just as poorly. Second rate food. Such a shame.

Andy’s is a lovely Greek restaurant near Camden Town tube, they serve lots of yummy dishes and dips and have a courtyard to sit in when the weather’s nice. Andy’s Taverna does kebabs the way they should be done – you’ll never suffer those post-pub atrocities ever again!
