I have been to Anthonys on several occasions - the last time was a complete disaster - after being told the restaurant would be refurbished and a new menu on offer we decided to take the plunge again - we had previously been to Anthonys to find the food great but the owner was so unprofessional - having people that she knew sitting at a table next to us with one of them swearing. Another time she was on her mobile phone all evening. This time round we were ignored for over half an hour after having our main meal. We ended up asking for our glasses to be filled - not once were we asked if we wanted a desert menu - There were customers coming in and having to wait for a menu. One couple came in and wanted our table - they were obviously regulars and were quite annoyed that we were sitting at their preferred table. I therefore asked for the bill and a cab - the bill came but the waitress didn't order the cab - when asked how long it would be was told 15 minutes - we then got up and had a little bit of a show down with the owner - she told me that in all the years she had never asked a customer if they wanted to see the desert menu - she also told me I should have asked her to call the cab – I told her that she had a lot to learn - voices were raised and as we walked out she slammed the door - not very professional seeing the restaurant was full of customers. I had also asked about New Years Eve to be told that someone was interested in taking over the whole restaurant - I should leave my number and she would come back to me - seeing that I had booked previously and when we had turned up no booking was in the book I decided not to pursue

Excellent, reasonably-priced, mostly Polish-based cuisine; exceptionally friendly, efficient service. By far the best neighbourhood restaurant in this neighbourhood, this is deservedly popluar.

I recently went to Anthony's on a work outing, the food was delicious but extremely over priced ( £25 for 2 courses ). As there were over 20 of us our orders were placed with the manager a few days in advance, but she still managed to get it wrong. I found her to be rude and unwelcoming and it was obvious that she couldn't cope with such a large party.
I won't go back again.

Anthonys is a really welcoming place and the food is out of this world! The menu's extremely varied but everything I've had is good.

I highly recommend Anthonys.
