Is Aphrodite Taverna not the best or what? Great food and very good service. This taverna must be the best in london, as no one else can serve food like they do. The dolmades were half cold and the potatoes were as if they had been cookjed the day before and reheated. Why Waste Money when leftovers can be found in your kitchen.

I would query the review below. We have been to this restaurant about 10 times in the last year or so. We have gone on our own, with friends and with family. Every single visit has been wonderful. We went again last night with a friend and the food was still outstanding. The fish is the freshest fish you will find anywhere but thats because the owner goes and buys only the fish caught that day, hence the menu changes every day. We had the halibut which was so fantastic. The calamari was so fresh it was nearly jumping on the plate. The chicken Souvla was devine, and I have never been let down by the food ever.

The service continues to be the friendliest and efficient to be had anywhere. That is why they were turning people away all evening who had not made reservations.

Dinner for 3 of us inc 3 bottles of beer, one bottle of wine, 3 starters, 3 main courses, 2 deserts and 2 coffees came to £105.....brilliant value

Mmmm… The Aphrodite Taverna is nibble-tastic! Bring your bib ‘cos you’ll be giddily scooping hummus and taramasalata into your gob as soon as you sit down. I haven’t tried the mains yet, as it was only lunchtime and we filled up instead on lots of little dishes. Luckily it was a really nice day as well, so we took advantage of Aphrodite’s outside seating. Who needs to go on holiday eh?
