I used to work in the Barbican and spent many a lunch hour at Apium and I think its fantastic!
I would advise you arrive early (12noon) as it can get rather busy. On arrival I would be greeted by the manager, who would seat us. I would normally order Nasi Goreng and a side order of salt and chilli squid - both are to die for! My friend would order the Laksa which is perfect and filling! The service is always quick, if you arrive at 12, you'll be out by 12:45 leaving you enough time to walk off the gorgeous food you've just eaten. The prices are reasonable. It's clean, the staff are always smiling and welcoming, and everyone loves it. TRY IT!
I have just returned home from a meal at the Apium Noodle bar. We ordered two meals, a noodle soup and a vegetable noodle dish. Both were awful; the noodle soup was flavourless, and the veg noodle 'thing' was just as bad. I am by no means an expert, but this food was terrible. I would really advise not going here, the location is great but the food is poor.
This ia a wonderful place just to go and relax. After work when your felling tried and don't feel like cooking it is perfect. If you want to get together with your friend and have a chat, it's ideal. In my opinion if you want to know whether a foreign food resaurant is any good you have to look and see whether people from that culture eat there because they know what the best of their food tastes like, and at apium alot of oriental people go to eat there. IT IS MY FAVOURET RESTAURANT.

I just love the Apium szechuan beef, it's the best I've had in London and the prices are so affordable. I'd defnitely recommend Apium Noodle Bar to noodle lovers everywhere.
