I used to be a regular in Apt, but I think they've gone downhill. Firstly, the club is packed to the point where walking (let alone dancing) is a chore. Impossible to get drinks at the bar and when booking a table, it always turns out there's an "error" or a problem. I booked a table last year for my birthday and they gave me a shabby 4 seater (there were about 8 of us) in a corner. This has also happened to ALL my friends who have attempted to book seating areas. They seem to think it's ok to make it all up with "a free bottle of wine" usually the cheapest on the menu. I havn't retured since and won't be planning to again!

Came here for a girly night out. We paid £15 for a meal and salsa dance lessson. we were meant to sit down for 8pm for the meal, but this was delayed until 9pm. The food was measly and tasteless. The drink prices was the biggest joke (7.50 for a glass of wine). Everything ran late so there wasn't much time for dancing. The only good thing about it was the venue and the music.

Having been a regular customer in apt (due to it being very close to where I work) I have always found the service by staff very bad, whenever I book a table for a large group what I end up getting on the day is the total opposite. I was very embarrassed when I once booked a table for 8 and I got a table for 2 with no chairs! I even booked 2 weeks in advanced. The staff at the entrance were rude and so were the bouncers inside who kept having a go and moving our table. All I can say is when you book a table in advance it's never guranteed on the day so be carful and the staff are not very understanding at all!

A friend and I went there last night for a promoted party. I noted that the drink prices were on the high end. My friend warned me that the bar staff were charging different prices for the same drink and to be careful. The same happened I was charged 10.70 for rum and mix (not premium rum) I had paid 9.45 for previously. I mentioned nothing but was given 8.30 change from £30 pounds. I really felt the staff thought I was drunk and the young lady in particular was operating in a dishonest way. I will also complain to the promoters. My friend was charged 8.80 for the same drink and confronted this same lady. The bar should do something about this individual in particular. I have never experienced such inconsistency in pricing in a london bar.

went in mid-Jan for a girly night out. arrived in time to take advantage of the half price deal, which ends at 10pm, for food and drinks. we ordered 2 platters, which were normally 16 pounds each, so good value there with the deal. bottle of wine was around 12 pounds normally for house, and 18 for something a bit nicer. . they start charging entry at 10pm. you get the half price deal through registering on their website, or chancing your arm at the bar to have some cards on hand to fill out with your email address etc for half price. i adopted a system of having a tab opened until 15 minutes before 10pm to maximise use of the voucher. cloakroom downstairs, and no charge for bags, while coats are 2 pounds i think. crowd is mainly city slickers and you get a lot of people trying their chances on a Friday night. run of the mill charts on the music front, some decent dancers.

I've been there a few times for lunch and have been let down one way or another by the food, on one occasion I was even told they had no meat, so all that was available was fish and veg! I booked in advance too, so I thought someone would have contacted me to pre-warn me.

However, more recently a colleague of mine who dined there saw a cockroach during their lunch!! I wouldn't go there again to eat!

I attended Apt Bar on Friday 28th Jan for my birthday, it didn't get off to a great start. I had reserved an area about a week prior just to make sure we had somewhere to chill out before the party started and a lot of my friends wanted to have something to whilst we were there. When I got to the bar I was told that an was not reserved for me (Even though I had my e-mail confirmation in my hand) they said an error had occurred which they failed to inform me about. As an apology they gave my group 2 bottles of champers, it was just a shame we had no where to drink them. The music was a good varied mixture, overall it was a good evening, but I think that was more to do with the drink rather than the bar itself.

If you do book an area I would strongly advise you call them the day before and on the day to confirm your booking.

A friend a I went to Apt on Friday 14th for drinks. We had reserved a table and had a really good night, we enjoyed the music. Went to leave around midnight to get last train/tube home,went to the cloak room to get our coats to be told one of the cloak room girls (jo) had given my friends coat to another person! As you can imagine we were both really annoyed about this and very disappointed that she had ruined a really good night we had had at Apt. Jo then tried to give my friend someone elses coat to make up for this - come on how ridiculous is that! She also went on to say that it wasn't her fault and wouldn't except any liability for what she had done. If when we put our coats in the staff had pointed out a sign with that written down then maybe we would have thought twice about using the cloak room although you think they are meant to be safer there then using a back of a chair! Well not in this case. I then left my friend to try to sort it out coz it was getting later and later, so I went outside. Told the two men on the door the situation and that my friend didn't have a coat coz the incompetent staff had given it away and it was freezing and by this time we had missed the last train/tube home! We then had to wait for a taxi in the cold because they wouldn't let us back in, in fact they laughed at us! Nice huh! When I asked for their names they wouldn't give them to me coz they knew how poorly we had been treated. No-one apologised that night. I have never been treated like this before in my life and think it's disgusting. Think twice about going to Apt! The poor service we received will mean my friends and I won't be returning to Apt in the future.

Went to celebrate a colleague's birthday. She booked in advance so we had an area which helped. Everyone was so friendly and the host even came over to assure our needs were being met. I was empressed as our section was decorated with balloons and the Birthday girl was not expecting this. Very thoughtful. We didn't realise, but they had some kinda promotion for January where we had drinks at half price until round 10. That was brilliant! It was a brilliant night and we did party till late. Great atmosphere at a brilliant price with great service. Loved it. My advice is make sure you book as it helps to have a base so you are still able to make your way back to friends when very tipsy!

had a really great night there last week - drinks were dirt cheap and we ended up being the last people to leave. fun fun fun!!

Went to apt on Friday and it was one of the best nights out I've had in a looonnnnggg time!! They had an Arabian Nights party and everyone was getting free drinks, they had even decorated with chocolate coins on the tables which was a nice touch. The staff were really friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced! I would recommend it for a good night out on a Friday. It was busy though so next time I'm going to book!

This place is awesome. A friend booked an area here outside last Thursday and the atmosphere was incredible, the only place in the city with a beer garden to catch the sun with a dj and nightclub for later on.

What a night! Dropped in for a quiet beer after work on Thursday and 5 hours later I was still there! The first shock came when I ordered a pint… £2!!! I almost fell off my chair. Settled into a booth downstairs, the better ones had been reserved but we found one close to the bar… very handy. Will be back for round 2 tonight!

Went on a Thursday night for dancing. The city's big night out? Oh.

One big group and several small ones kept the place reasonably busy but not packed, but all determinedly kept to their own groups and generally the vibe was fairly.... missing, really!

You make your own fun here because the crown and the music ain;t going to do it for you.

The music was mainly commercial pop but seemed to have no direction, the DJ seemed to be hiding in his corner playing whatever he found in his cd box more or less at random - hardly guaranteed to get the crow moving!

Quite a few drunks and lots of dropped glasses - the poor guy with the mop was busy all night. However, no trouble or fights.

Didn't feel obliged to cut it fine for the last tube home and have just one more dance.

APT is a cool place for party on Saturdays, but depends on DJs sometimes.

Behaviour of bar staff is not that much appreciated but their drinks quality is good though.

Bouncers are so friendly even they do really hard job to deal with trouble. However, its hard to get home after party.

Not a bad venue. I had a pretty good night in there and got chatting to an extremely nice woman.

I never got her number but I was really taken by her. So if she didn't think i was a complete berk and fancies meeting up leave a message for me.

Hopefully she'll remmeber who I am - I promise we could work round the football rivalry!

DON'T GO!!!!!!!! I have lived in London for 6 years & have never come across such rudeness & arrogance from the bar staff. The attitude was so despicable, my friend & I had to call police to advise us on how to deal with the situation we found ourselves in… beyond belief, totally. As for the bar itself?.. Tasteless decor & average drinks

I love this bar! I use itseveral times a week as it is such a versitile venue. I often come for lunch (the burgers are amazing!), I also use it for booking areas in the evening for both work and play and i also LOVE the outside area. This is the biggest 'sun trap' that I know around Bank...as it isn't in the shade after work!

Apt is not the same bar it was 6 months ago in my opinion. The atmosphere has taken a severe nose-dive, no-one dances or mingles, but insteads stand around chatting in their little groups, the music is bland and forgettable. We want the Apt of old back! Fun people, fun music and a party atmosphere!

Apt was a superb a night out - lots of fun people, all intent on having a wicked time. Apt is somewhere I'll definitely be returning to!

Apt is cool, a little on the expensive side but that's expected I suppose. The live bands at Apt are also well worth a listen!
