I received the absolurely worst customer service ever at the Aroma in wood green shoppin mall. I called days b4 to book for a grp for my grad party. When I got der, d man told me my guest cldnt sit down until I've paid for everyone in full n also dat I have to be sure of everysingle person still on d way etc. The problem wasn't wat he said but how it was said. It was like we already had a crime record in der or something. At a point in d argument I asked to see d mgr and was suprised to her he was d one talking to me. Told me twice that I shld leave if I'm not happy. I'm in customer service n wld never dream of saying that to a customer!
Out of curiosity I thought to have a look on d internet n d reviews on dis Aroma at woodgreen reflect my complaints. That gives me d comfort that I'm not d crazy one. The food is good there and that's y I'm doin d big favour of giving u feedback n hopin dat u'ld seriously look into your customer service. It's really horrible!
Aroma is my favourite restaurant. I discovered Aroma 2 years ago.I now eat at Aroma regularly at Woodgreen and also their Shepherd Bush's branch. For the last 2 years I have celebrated my birthday, my friend's & brother's birthday here and I also bring my friends and family here when they come to visit.
There is a great variety of food to cater for everyone. One of my friend who is a Vegan loved it and whenever she is in town Aroma is where we always meet up.
I met a friend for lunch and my partner joined us just before Aroma closed and although he did not eat the Manager allowed him to sit with us for 20 minutes before we left.
I have always found the staff polite, helpful and hardworking. I always leave a tip.
Me and a couple friends went for lunch and were turned away because it apparently closes at three. No biggy, so we went for the dinner instead. The food was gross and mass produced crap. It was bland and a cheap imitation of authentic Oriental food. Total lack of decent desert (cheap ice cream). Yes, we only paid £11.80, but thats aginst the point, places like Kitchin in Kings Cros & even food stalls at Camden provide better service and quality food. Aroma is more about making a profit over anything else. The staff were rude and dismissive. I strongly urge not to go!
My 14-year-old daughter and four of her friends went to Aroma for their buffet lunch. One did not want to eat, but just to be with her mates. She was told she either had to pay the full price for the buffet (£8.20) or leave. She left. The others asked for tap water with their meal and were told that there was a truly outrageous charge of £1.20 per person. Not surprisingly, they declined. Although the food was good, the waiter was rude and the manager was dismissive. All in all, the experience was spoiled by the attitudes of the staff. Verdict on Aroma - avoid if you are young!
Aroma smells, looks and tastes delicious. I love the style of eating - it's like Oriental tapas which means you get to eat little tasters of everything so my greed can be catered for! I was really impressed by Aroma and it's definitely somewhere that I'll be taking my friends.
