The only way one can really know of this place is to walk right by it and peek inside. I dined with a friend the first time and was a bit surprised to find that the interior smelled of roses and there were red drapes and candles as to create a fairly romantic atmosphere, which was awkward but ultimately funny for two blokes! I came back several months later with my girlfriend and had a much better experience! You definitely feel you're in more of a high-end restaurant while dining here; the atmosphere can be a bit too quiet at times, depending on how many other diners there are, but usually it manages to be casually elegant while not being stuffy. It's not too expensive, either. Our bill usually comes out to about £40 for two. Funny enough, one of my favourite things is an apertif soup served in a shotglass-type cup which is complimentary. The menu can seem a bit daunting at first, with pretty much everything on the menu being unique to Atma's chef, though the staff were quite willing to explain the different dishes to us. The king prawn dishes Ive had were excellent, and their chicken very good as well. I hope to work my way through their entire menu eventually as everything so far as been lovely. Can be a bit tricky to find for first-timers.

Atma is probably the best Indian restaurant I've sampled in London. Exceptional food and really good service - I can't fault Atma at all! Delicious.
