If the word on the street was that Aubergine's star had lost a little of it's glimmer, don't believe it. It's back, and brighter than ever.

We dined at Aubergine, and chose the seven course french tasting menu. This was the culinary event of our lives, and cannot imagine surpassing it for many a day.
The courses started with fois gras, followed by scallops, lobster, brill, and then lamb. Two deserts completed the whole experience which lasted 2 hours (including little breaks.)

The wine list at Aubergine is certainly one of the countries most extensive, and while a little on the rich side, there is plenty to suit all tastes and budgets. The service is impeccable without being intrusive. It is not cheap, (£77 pp excl wine) but then again the best never is, and this was worth every last penny.

If I could choose my last meal, I would have it at Aubergine. William Drabble's "star" is about to go plural.

Aubergine Restaurant is overpriced and extremely pretentious. A better meal can be had for a fraction of the price locally.

Best bring your wallet to Aubergine, this place is well up there price wise. The set menu is a staggering £60 and there’s even a minimum spend in the evening. To be honest I think the food at Aubergine was a bit wasted on my unsophisticated palate, but loads of people rave about it, so maybe it’s worth the price tag.
