Went to Aura last night and had a great time. There were loads of girls inside and the music was brilliant. Had to wait a bit to get in though but I will go back for sure.

Decent club, music is average at best, quite small, crowd needs improving tho, now where near enough fit girls. I saw some size 14’s in there and someone over 40! Sort it out! If I pay £20 I wanna be getting at some fine girls, not doing a smash and dash which is what I had to do that night.

Went to Aura last weekend with a few friends. Had a great night. Music was on point. Had to wait a bit to get in though, as the line was really long when we got there but it's all good. A little expensive too but i guess that Mayfair for you.

All I have to say is that the security at the door were the rudest people I’ve ever met! It was my friend’s birthday and the men at the door argued with most of us saying our ID was not ours! I thought this was a joke as I have been to many Mayfair clubs and this has never happened to me. We were on guest list and everything and we wasn’t even allowed in because apparently our Ids wasn’t ours! The men at the door was rude and arrogant and I should of asked to speak to the manager

Went out with 15 people for my own birthday for an event off fatsoma. Got there nice and early. They kept us waiting for ages, and then each of us in turn, after having ids checked once, it all being fine and then again, all overage were rejected for having identification that apparently did not look like us. Each paid £20 entry- £300 from us for absolutely nothing. Ruined my birthday and ruined everyone else's night out. Disgusting club and rude door staff. We had to leave and after complaining have received nothing from Aura for wasting our time and money.

It's a cheap and disgusting way to run a club. Don't go there. I can only assume the glowing reviews must have been written by the staff.

Will be discouraging everyone I know from going.

This club is literally the size of my bedroom! Ridiculously small! Hardly any space to dance and there are random pillars placed amongst the dance-floor! I have been to much better clubs in Mayfair and the DJ was awful! I understand you can play music but it was commercial pop and r&b music back from 2000! We are now in 2012! Drinks are way overpriced compared with other clubs in Mayfair. VIP area is also small! I went to Aura because of the so called hype that surrounds it. Clearly over-hyped and will never revisit! Waste of money and time! You'll have more fun in the casino!

I went to Aura to celebrate my friends 24th birthday last Tuesday, and we had one of the best nights we've had out.. ever! We were put on the guest list through one of the girls who works for Aura after I contacted her on the aura mayfair twitter page. When we got there we did have to que for about 25 mins, but the girl who I spoke to warned me that the que may be big so we should get there at around 10 to avoid having to pay an entry fee once it passed 11 o'clock, so we arrived at about 10.15 and got in for free before 11! We had a table booked and we were shown to it as soon as we got in the club, and aura had organised a cake and bottle of champagne to be sent over for my friend as they knew it was her birthday - she was really chuffed! The drinks were flowing and the music was amazing...I don't really have anything bad to say about this place, other than the que can get very busy so make sure you get down early, especially if you're a girl and don't want to pay to get in! Thank you aura !

After hearing a lot about Aura through Facebook, me and my mates thought we might as well go and see what it's all about. It was one of the lads girlfriends birthdays, so we thought it was the perfect excuse to see what Aura was like.

We are all in our final year at uni in London, so going out mid-week is something that we appreciate to release some steam! There aren't many clubs in London that are open mid-week, so when we heard that Aura was open, as well as the playboy model Louise Glover being there to celebrate her birthday... we were sold!

Girls were told that they could get in free before 11pm on guest list, but the que was pretty big when we got there, and by the time we got in it was about 11.15 so they had to pay £20 like we did. That wasn't really the clubs fault tho - we could have got down there earlier to make sure that they didn't have to pay. The girls were a bit annoyed about it, but as soon as we got inside the club and the music was playing and people around were having a great time, it was soon forgotten about!

The club provided us with a table with couple of bottles of champagne and a birthday cake, as we had told them we were coming for a birthday before hand. The birthday girl had no idea so she was really surprised and happy with the effort that Aura had gone to to make sure she had a good time. We did have to spend a minimum amount of money on the table to be able to keep it, but as there was a group of 7 of us it wasn't really a problem - we probably would have spent more if we were buying our own drinks at the bar!

I definitely would go back there again, especially for a birthday, and I think Wednesday nights are really good fun.

I came to Aura Mayfair last Tuesday with three of my girl friends after we had heard that it was Ladies night through twitter. We had one of the best nights we have had in a long time! Although there was a bit of a que when we arrived (it was about 10.30), it moved quickly and we still got in free as it was before 11pm when we got inside. We were a bit worried that by the time we had waited in the que it would be gone 11 an we would have to pay £20, but as it moved quickly we were fine. When we got in, there was already quite a few people in there which got us in the mood right away! We went strait to the bar and bought a drink. The bar staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome (as did the kind man on the door before we came in - I'm not sure what his name was). The DJ was playing some really great music throughout the whole night. It was nice to be in a place where a range of music was played (bit of house, rnb, hiphop) rather than a lot of places in London which aren't very varied in their music selection. All in all we had a great night, and to top it off, Lauren Goodger and Lauren Pope from TOWIE were in there partying too! I had a picture with Lauren Goodger which made my night even better! I would definitely recommend Aura Mayfair as a place to go out in London. You will definitely have a great night!

I give it one star only because I can't give it zero. Trashy, try-hard and run by recent Eastern European migrants trying to act "elite". This place is only for people with no self-regard and meagre intellect. There are far better clubs to enjoy in London with better music and crowd - this one is for losers only. The glowing reviews above must all be written by staff members.

I went to Aura last night for my birthday party and had around 40-50 of my friends. We arrived at the club and after a quick ID check we all got in without queuing. The door staff were friendly and we went straight in.

We had a large table next to the bar and were provided with magnums of grey goose vodka and fishbowls throughout the night. The bar staff and waiters were very friendly and helpful. Drinks are expensive yes but that is what you have to expect and accept when you go clubbing in Mayfair.

Everyone was dancing and drinking the whole night and all of my friends had a great night. The club put up a happy birthday message for me on the projector which was a nice touch and summed up the club and their attitude towards customers. Everyone involved with the club was friends and sorted any queries we had.

The club is quite small but big enough for dancing, it is very classy but fun and a great night out.

All in all a great night and a great venue. I Will definitely be returning when i can.

I've been to Aura a few times either on a thursday or friday, and the nights have always been different. A friend of mine is a promoter for Aura so entry and drinks are never a problem, as there's free entry before 11 and a reasonable amount fo free drink on the promoters table. The crowd tends to be genuinely classy, as opposed to the predominantly pretentious crowds in most other mayfair clubs. The music is to my taste but may not be to yours, old school hip-hop and R&B being a great feature of thursday nights, but always contrasted with the more up-tempo modern and commercial house. The door staff are not difficult at all, provided you approach them with a friendly attitude. There's also at least one celebrity guest in Aura 9/10 times.

over all, if a mayfair club is your kind of scene, and you enjoy making an effort to look good when you go out, you will love Aura. If on the other hand you enjoy jumping around to dubstep in flats and enjoying cheap drinks then you most certainly won't enjoy a night at Aura.

Not bad is the way I would sum it up. Obviously that means not brilliant as well. Drinks aren't cheap which is fine provided you can have them the way you want to. You can't. I want my beer in a bottle but instead it's poured badly into a glass by the nonchalant barmaid (or is it liquid refreshment specialist these days?) and not all of it survives. When I eventually complain about this I get lip and have to ask for the manager. Customer service is pretty poor. As for the club experience if you have a table then it'll be a decent enough experience, but if you don't then you're basically going to be jostled all night by people passing back and forth almost wherever you stand. So my advice is get a table or don't bother.

Went to Aura last Friday through London Club PR.

What a night! great crowd, they had a pre party fashion show that we managed to catch the back end of. Saw a ton of well known London Fashion designers!

I saw they also did a dinner before the club opened! it looked amazing!

Dj was epic!

I would go back 100%

I never normally bother writing reviews online, but after a last minute Thursday night at Aura which went far better than expected, I felt compelled to do this. My friend and I turned up at around 11:45, so too late for free entry even on a guestlist. There were only 2 people in front of us (men) and they were let in without much hassle. I found the people on the door to be some of the nicest I've encountered in London. It just goes to show that if you come to a West End club knowing what to expect, and don't cause a scene, you'll be treated with more respect. So there we were, expecting and willing to pay £20 entry (as my friend who was inside had free drinks for us, so we figured it'd be worth it) but then the guy on the door discreetly told us he'd lower the entry fee to £10 for us, which I just think is so lovely considering he knew very well that we were willing to pay the £20. Went downstairs, paid £10, no problems.

The club itself is very small, not a huge amount of space to dance. Music was the standard commercial stuff you get in these kind of clubs...but I love that music so enjoyed it! Crowd was pretty good too, considering some of the poser/sleazy types you often get in West End clubs.

I'm not sure if it was good enough to say I'd hurry back, however definitely not a bad night at all!

I was actually very surprised at how rubbish this club is! I really should have read these reviews before attending... My friend knew someone that worked there so there was not even any trouble getting in or anything and free drinks were also sorted out for us... However the atmosphere was dead, the music was repetitive and it was honestly one of the worst clubs I've been to in London. I'm extremely happy that I didn't actually have to pay for this experience and I seriously advise anyone planning to go there to save their money and go spend their time somewhere else. (I went on a saturday night... i guess it could be different on other nights with other djs but I will never be going back to find out lol and the person my friend knew who got us in didn't even back the place up either...)

Had a great time at Aura! Went on a Thursday night and we got great treatment. The club is stunning inside even though it's not massive it doesn't matter as it's brilliant! I was even there when there was a celebrity party.

Great vibe in the whole place and everyone is there to have a good time. Current music being played with stunning female dancers. All in all a great club nice door staff I would highly recommend it.

One of those places that won't let you in if they don't like the look of your shoes (ballet flats) even though you have arranged a table for 12 and are on the guest list for an important night out. I'm sure it's fine for a normal Saturday if you don't mind taking the risk, but I would advise against using for any big event as they can reject you arbitrarily.

Aura club is awful and I will never be going back there. We were on the guestlist but the staff were so rude & still charged us £20 to get in and their attitude stinks. The club was so small and smelly & you can hardly move and it was full of complete idiots who think its funny to push into you and spill drinks all over you.

Went for their birthday celebrationbs last night - quite a spectacle - don't think I've seen so much fire being swirled around in one small space before.

Their Fridays, however, are now off the wall. They have some S&M dancers there and the show they do really gets the place pumping. Well done for offering something different - an event, not just a club.

Wow! What an amazing place! I was there last Saturday for their Full Moon party and it was the best party I have been to in years! They made an effort on dressing up the club, all the people made an effort with their outfits. It was just brilliant! We had a table in the vip, the service was pretty fast considering how busy they were. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend Aura for a good night out.

The club is in a good central location, but the entrance looks a little like a crowded public lavatory. It is small and fairly expensive, with truly remarkable service charges (e.g. £21 service charge for a bottle of champagne bought from the bar.) When we went the table service was inept and clumsy (billed as a restaurant from 9pm, but the food we had consisted solely of a few substandard tapas-like platters). Later in the evening the place filled with a mix of packs of Essex Girl looking for someone to buy them drinks - and no wonder, at those prices - together with packs of Essex Man looking to pick off stragglers.

This place is undoubtedly to be highly recommended if you're looking to pick up/be picked up by Essex Girl/Man - presumably they must have some success to flock in such numbers. If you are looking for something else then for the money you will spend here there is no shortage of decent restaurants and nice bars nearby.

Nicely decorated inside but nothing special. I was put on the guestlist by a friend who is a member of Aura. Were told beforehand that I would get a discount entry price, but still ended paying £20 to get in! Inside is really tiny and there isn't much space to sit down. The dance floor - well I wouldn't really call it a dance floor...

Hey, if you were put on a guestlist then the deal is girls - free before half 11, guys - £20. Some other clubs do offer a discount for guys before half 11, but never Aura as far as I know.
If you were on a guestlist you would have been given lots of free grey goose! So surely that would have softened the blow? :)
I really like Aura! I don't know why it's getting bad reviews, maybe you didn't go on a good night...for example tonight is going to go offffffffffffffff! :)

Granted we weren't on a random guest list we were pushed aside rudely and made to waite a very long time with no indication of the doitmans plan! but decided to give the place benefit of doubt. small, intimate, fun.

3 words that sum up this joint. Go to shake your stuff, prance about a bit and let your hair down.

Decent door policy, sensible prices (for the West-End) and decent (if commercial) music.

Had a blast there this weekend - went on Friday night and had so much fun I went back on Sat. Yes, it is small but that makes it pretty intimate. I love the fact there is no "VIP" section that is roped off - the whole club feels equal.

The music was great and everyone was jumping up and down - classic club fun.

If you want your jordans and C-list celebs, this probably isn't the place. If you want fun, I thoroughly recommend it.

My first impression was great: it does look stunning but I rapidly changed my mind.

We went there early, so we could sit anywhere, even though all tables had a Reserved sign on them (it was my first Members' club, so bear with me!)

Half an hour later, one of the managers shifted us to a tiny little table right by the entrance door (hence, cold)We were bold and moved again to a Reserved table as soon as the manager left.

On top of that, the Trainee bar tender confused the ingredients of my friend's cocktail and had to re-do it!Oh and did I mention there is a compulsory service charge for each drink?

What a joke!As for the few people we've seen, I was unimpressed: smug and showing off is definitely not my definition of class!
