Yes, in case you forgot, you are still in deepest, darkest Southeast London, though Babur could just as well be located somewhere in Central London in terms of having a great atmosphere - prices are very reasonable though, definitely not Central London!
I've never been disappointed there, the quality of the food is consistently good and their staff make a real effort to delivery great service. Not your bog-standard curry house, instead, Babur serves tasty modern dishes. One of my favourites is the ostrich starter. Go for the buffalo in rajastani spices as a main, if you want to try something different, and finish off with a green apple and ginger martini with amaretto mousse. Yummie! But yes, you can get a chicken biryani, if that's what you want. Also love that they offer regional specials and "food festivals". If you sign up for their mailing list, a birthday card will arrive promptly, complete with discount voucher, which is a nice touch (and quite welcome, actually).
It gets quite busy on the weekends, best to book if you want a large table.
Can't stop raving about Babur, sorry, they've never let me down...
