Bacchus Restaurant’s unfussy philosophy towards food is also reflected in the decor. Large plants are carefully positioned so as not to come face to face directly with diners plates. There are also a striking melange of Grecian artefacts dotted along the walls that helps distract from the foliage. The low music in the background does its best to be discreet alongside the greenery.

A nice option is the individually baked vegetarian moussaka, with a creamy layer of Bechamel sauce that bubbles away carefree on top. Bacchus also offers a traditional meze option featuring a few starters and a mixed meat grill, which at under £20.00 per person to share, offers good value for money.
