Well I am a fan of Balans but definately wont be eating in the Westfield branch. We ordered the calamari which was oily and from frozen then the crab cakes with Mayo and salad relish looked very appatising but bite into it and yuk!! It tasted as if it were cooked in reconstituted oil! Gave a very metally after taste. Anywho, then came our main the steak and egg was ok but for £9.95 a bit too over priced. The home made cheese burger was just weird the mince meat was dry and rubbery and bland and in both dishes the fries were under cooked. Only thing nice was the strawberry and bananna smootie and pinacolada cocktail. The staff were really friendly and attentive no complaints there really!! I must say the Balans in soho is far better I wish the menu was not revised as the present menu just sucks it used to be so apatising and different. I won't be eating at westfields balans again.
