I have been to this restaurant in the past. The food is good and enjoyable. Today I had one of the worst experiences in a restaurant. I had an hour for lunch which has always been adequate in the past. However not today, after sitting and waiting for 15 minutes we asked could we order and were rather rudely told that there were only two staff serving and what did we expect. We ordered and waited and waited and waited. I asked twice for information on the approximate time we would get lunch and was ignored. After 50 minutes I was told it would be a few more minutes and it was done in such a rude and unapolagetic fashion. I asked to speak to the manager and was told they were too busy to speak to me. My guest and I left hungry without having lunch and feeling that our time had been wasted. I told them I would never go back and I work locally and take friends and colleagues out to lunch. So they have lost my custom today and in the future. Perhaps a long wait is forgivable and maybe some of their staff were ill today, I don't know there was no explanation offered as to why they were understaffed, but to top it off with being treated so rudely and with such disrespect, that is unforgiveable.

We arrived at around 14:15 yesterday and got a table straight away. Friendly service and the lunchtime set meal is good value even after the inevitable service charge: freshly-prepared, tasty and generous portions! I'll be happy to eat there again.

A pity the manager and waitresses didn't let us come in the restaurant.

After 30 min waiting outside, the staff made us sit outside and ignored us for more 15 minutes.

I know the restaurant was busy and full of customers. It's not a reason to humiliate and let people get frozen.

Finally we left without having eaten something...as we felt like the staff refused to serve us.
