Bar Polski, previously known as ‘Na Zdrowie’ - cheers in Polish - offers up vodkas of all shapes, colours and sizes to wash down the Polish dumplings and gherkins.

The Venue
Tucked away in an alleyway behind Holborn station is this simple bar, its triangular shape and glazed window panes make this cute place quite big and it looks exciting from the outside. The only feature is a painting of a cockerel on the main wall, decorated with a multitude of rainbow patterns - traditional Polish, so they say. The one and only bar is inset and displays all kinds of Polish alcoholic beverages. Stacked in fridges, freezers, and on shelves, and just behind the bar is a small kitchen. Outside is a seating area but the front window panes can all be opened subject to season.

The Atmosphere
Bar Polski is generally quiet during the day, being visited by surrounding office professionals for Polish grub. The bar in the evenings is busier, but rarely gets too overcrowded. The clientele vary, but generally young professionals will pop in for a drink or stop until closing time. The owner and bar manager is always at the forefront and is welcoming and inviting to all guests.

The Food
A number of Polish dishes are served, like Polish dumplings (Pierogi) or potato pancakes all day long. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes.

The Drink
Gold vodka, blue vodka, zubrowka and wyborowa are just a few of the large number of drinks on offer here. Beers of Polish nature are also well stocked at all times. Typical Polish spirit combinations can be found on the drinks menu as are shots. A good one to try is the Wild Dog - a combination of vodka, sweet liqueur with a dash of Tabasco.

Bar Polski is an authentic Polish bar in the heart of London with great drinks, food, and service all day until late. A thumbs up.
