Barola is a fantastic bar - a real find, and so much better then the sterilised sameness of the C&B next door.



Barola has a great selection of wines, beers and some cracking food make this a real gem in the usual grimness of the city.

I recently arranged a Christmas function to be held at Barola for approximately 30 people. From my first enquiry, the staff at Barola promptly responded with copies of the menus for me to look over. They also offered me the opportunity to sample the foods and beverages they had on offer to assist me in my selection for the event. I took them up on this offer and Charlie, the manager, provided very helpful information. I decided on a few varieties of wine for the night.



On the night of the function and continuing into the next day I recieved very impressed responses from the guests. Comments included ' the wines are great, keep ordering the same', 'the atmosphere was pleasant', and 'the service was very friendly'.



I definitely recommend Barola and thank the staff for all their assistance with our function.
